Honestly, even though Hillary was tipped to win the Election, few people in Russia seemed that worried about WW3 breaking out. I think the whole "Hillary is going to bring WW3!!" hysteria started in the US media, and then the Russian government took the ball and ran with it, gleefully delighting in the fact that they could be so threatening to Americans again. Putin loves being perceived as that powerful and scary! Meanwhile Russia's best scientists and engineers are fleeing en masse...

Fencing would be appropriate in some parts of the southwest especially in the middle of the desert where there barren land. The wall will be where it needs to be placed.

It will actually be easy to get a hand on illegal immigration in the USA, just enforce the laws on the books and place a fine of $25,000 to individualesne who employees or transports illegals in the USA. You get caught with handful of illegal aliens working for you and you have the federal government give you $100,000 fines for hiring 4 illegals aliens, the issue of illegals in the USA will solve itself. They will all take back home and self deport

I said nothing different then what you said Trump directly said about the fencing. He said it in the 60 Minute interview preview and BBC

happen to send me a notification of the preview which I then read on route. I really don't owe you an explanation

Scary, isn't it, how much he sounds exactly like Obama in regards to pre- and post-election promises. It remains to be seen if he actually keeps any. But the bar is so low on keeping promises following Obama, he should do just fine.

Donald Trump will appear in his first extensive post-election interview Sunday on “60 Minutes” at 7 p.m. ET/PT

President-elect Donald Trump’s hard-line immigration stance was a central part of his campaign message in 2016 -- and he said in an interview airing Sunday that he plans to immediately deport approximately two to three million undocumented immigrants.

“What we are going to do is get the people that are criminal and have criminal records, gang members, drug dealers, where a lot of these people, probably two million, it could be even three million, we are getting them out of our country or we are going to incarcerate,” Trump said in an interview with CBS’ “60 Minutes.” “But we’re getting them out of our country, they’re here illegally.”

He continued by saying that after the border is “secure,” immigration officials will begin to make a “determination” about the remaining undocumented immigrants in the U.S.

“After the border is secure and after everything gets normalized, we’re going to make a determination on the people that they’re talking about who are terrific people, they’re terrific people but we are gonna make a determination at that,” he said. “But before we make that determination...it’s very important, we are going to secure our border.”

Asked whether he really plans to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border -- a proposal that served as a centerpiece of his campaign message -- Trump replied, “Yes.”

Since Trump’s election on Tuesday night, the realities of actually building that wall have begun to set in The Mexican government has publicly reminded him that Mexico will not pay for the wall. And asked about the wall, Trump transition co-chair Newt Gingrich said the wall was “a great campaign device.”

Trump also told “60 Minutes” that the border wall, which was one of the centerpieces of his campaign platform, could be part wall and “some fencing,” in accordance with what congressional Republicans have proposed.

“For certain areas I would, but certain areas, a wall is more appropriate,” he said. “I’m very good at this, it’s called construction.”

Not once during his entire campaign, did I really think Trump was going to build a physical wall. He's way too smart to think that is really an answer to keeping illegals out.

Now see here's the thing. I'm tired of people twisting themselves into pretzels about the wall. Either it's a physical wall or it's not. He's made it clear it was a physical wall - not once in his speeches, in interviews... Not once. And over and over again I've spoken to his supporters that do indeed believe it to be a physical wall. They can't explain how it will be paid for nor can they answer any of the valid criticisms about it, only that it will be great and real. They were serious. Adamant and angry. Then there were others rather late to the game, when faced with the reality and criticisms decided to twist the concept into a metaphor, after they listened to other republican commentators explaining the physical wall was a bunch of gobbledegook.

You never bought it sure. But you can count yourself among only one subset of persons. The rest will be watching, and if they don't get the wall as promised, well.. we'll see won't we.

Well, Yuna, you bring up a good point... There is ignorance in both parties. Sometimes, the ignorance outweighs the intelligence. Much like Sander's followers believing he would actually provide them free education without raising taxes. It's the same with a physical wall. Silly to build, when one can simply go around, under, or over it. Heck, I could fly a C-172 over the border at night, under the radar, between outposts, and probably not get caught for years. There are already areas of tunnels under the current fences. Yeah, a wall only keeps the honest folks on one side or another, much like a locked door.

Israel has a 440 mile wall and they have built barriers to stop tunneling as well, and their military has invested great efforts in technologies to detect, destroy and block them.

Obama had opposition from the house and senate and did as much as was humanly possible.

Trump won the election 5 days ago, He has no cabinets, and it in very early stages of Transaction. He doesn't take the Oath until January 20th, Which I hope to be there.

Personally, I would prefer a double fence, with razor wire on top and in-between. More like the fences that surround prisons. A solid wall does not allow you to see who may be hiding on the other side…..plus….makes it harder to shoot through
