Unfortunately, it has been taking 4 to 6 weeks for NVC to receive and be ready to acknowledge receipt.

Hello all,

How long does it usually take for NVC to receive cases from Nebraska service center? And is it too early for me to call them, if I try this coming week? My IR-1 was approved on Nov/05/2016.

Thanks

What does your case status say on USCIS? Does it say 'case was sent to department of state'? It doesn't always update but for those cases that do update, this means it's on its way to the NVC.

The only way to know if NVC has received it is to call them and ask.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

It now says 'duplicate notice sent', as the original notice they would not mail to my Egyptian address. So I had them mail it to my US address. My mom recieved it yesterday, and will scan it and send it to me today.

But as of now the case status has remained the same.

The same as what? If it says the petition is approved, USCIS is out of the picture and there will be no further status changes on the USCIS website, unless the visa is denied at interview. Then several months later, you may see an update.

It's says, 'duplicate notice sent'. That's what I meant by the same, as the status has remained the same since the approval; As the previous person had asked me what my case status said. Some people have said that my USCIS status will say when my case has been transferred to NVC. This is not true? If not, then I will not worry about looking at it and only stick to calling NVC to see if they've received my case. So far NVC still has not received it as I've called them.

I Sent my Civil Documents back to NVC on 11-02-16, what to expect next and how long they gonna take now

After the NVC has received your documents, it will take them up to 6 weeks from date of receiving to review them. After they receive them, assuming that NVC isn't going to send RFE, then they will send you an email letting you know that they have reviewed your documents, and a separate email a week later to inform you that, they have received all documents and you're in queue for interview overseas.
