My son has a US and Thai passport. He will be traveling with his mom soon to the US from Thailand for the first time. He has never travelled here before.

Will she just provide his US passport when they depart from Thailand? Simple as that? Or is there more to it?

Depends. If Thailand requires use of their passport for entry and exit as the USA does. If there is no requirement you could use either one.

For entering the USA, citizens are required to enter or exit using their U.S. passport.
