Hi All,

Visa journey and all the forums have been very useful in our case.

My fiance applied and submitted all the documents to USCIS in Aug 2016. USCIS approved and forwarded the petition to NVC in September 2016.

My fiance has already received a letter from NVC that they have forwarded the file to the US Embassy in Manila last Oct 18, 2016.

I recently called the embassy in Manila and asked for an update. According to the agent I talked to, I should wait for the letter from the embassy once they start processing my case. Would anyone have an idea as to the timeline when the embassy starts processing cases from when they receive it from the NVC? They say it varies per embassy per location.

You need to go ahead and start your process with the embassy. You will more than likely NOT receive any letter from the embassy at all. So just go ahead and pay the fee to the embassy using the MNL number on your NOA2, do the medical, and schedule a appt for the embassy interview. DO NOT WAIT ON THE LETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi All,

According to the agent I talked to, I should wait for the letter from the embassy once they start processing my case.

Chances of you receiving a letter from the embassy are slim to none. You don't need it and the info that the "agent" gave you is bogus. Once you have the MNL# from NVC (which it sounds like you do) you're good to go.

Waiting for any letters from the embassy is a waste of time ... everything is online. Besides ... the letter never arrives.

You have been waiting way too long! The moment you had your MNL# it was ROCK n ROLL time!!

Follow this link and you will soon be done with your visa application. http://visaconnection-philippines.com/index.php/2-visa-process/3-usem-k-1-visa

Setup your account, pay your visa fee at BPI, schedule your interview, complete your DS-160, complete your medical ... then complete your interview.

And don't forget CFO.

Visa chase and citizenship.. DONE!
