Montreal Consulate - Any ideas when my visa will come? Need to give notice at my job

Yesterday I had my interview in Montreal and was approved.

Obviously we are all anxious and in the same boat, I know I need to be patient and wait it out.

But I am just wondering because I want to work for as long as I can before I move to the US. My boss knows I am waiting for my visa and he knows I will be leaving soon. But I don't want to tell him this is my last weekend and then end up being stuck here for a few weeks, not working when I could have.

They told me I can expect it within 1 - 2 weeks however I have read some nightmare stories of people who are waiting longer than that. But I can't find anything recent.

My question: is there anyone who has recently been approved in Montreal that can give me some insight as to when I can realistically expect my visa?

I don't want to be rude but what is the hurry? Just wait until you have your visa in hand and then give your two weeks notice. That way you cover all your basis.

Without getting into private details, my current living situation is toxic. My vehicle is packed and I am out of town the second that visa is in my hands.

I had my CR1 interview on 21 Nov @ MTL. Interview went well but atlast CO requested a document which was not in my list. I told him that I don't have it at the moment. He said, sooner you get that to us sooner we can process your visa. He gave a letter on my interview day how to send embassy the requested document along with my passport. My wife sent that document to me through fedex over night shipping from US. I submitted that document and passport as requested by CO on 22nd Nov and embassy got my documents on 23rd Nov. I'm kept under AP still. My question is how much time till they issue my Visa...???

45-60 days after they receive the documents is common.
