I think I already know the answer, but I figure I'll ask anyway. I appear to have misplaced my green card - my wife and I are currently tearing apart our apartment trying to find it. Is there a way to apply for citizenship WITHOUT a photocopy of my current green card? In our search so far we have found my previous, expired 2-year green card.

Just hoping and praying that I don't have to cough up $450 for a new green card before I can lay out even more money for the citizenship application... :(

no you must include either the copy of the card or the receipt for the request to replace a missing card along with a copy of the police report.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
