I received approval notice of I-130 in 2010. Details below.

Petitioner: US Citizen

Category: F-4 (sister/brother of US Citizen)

Priority Date: 8th December 2008

Notice Date: 22nd February 2010

Country of Citizenship: Pakistan

Embassy: Islamabad

My sister applied for me while I was visiting USA in 2008, now I am back in Pakistan. The approval says that "We have sent the original visa petition to Dept of State National Visa Center (NVC) for counselor action".

Can anyone give some feedback as to how long is the wait for Islamabad these days. Bulletin doesn't make sense to me. It's been over 8 years, total wait time I have heard is 10-12 years and I have also heard that time frame is different from embassy to embassy. Have also heard that It depends on where you applied from (whether from inside of US or outside) and it also depends on the number of applications for a particular country/embassy during a particular time period.

Kindly advise.

You have about 5 more years to wait for PD to become current. Keep checking the visa bulletin.
