Need any information about marriage in US

Hello, I'm 21 years old, I was in the US this last summer with J-1 visa, I stayed there for almost 4 months, and left the country before my visa expired. While I was in US , I met a girl who I fell in love with, and so did she, we already wanted to get married while I was there but I was just too scared about all the immigration issues to stay there. My girlfriend will be visiting me in my country this February, because we miss each other very much... We really want to get married and live in America. My question is what would be the fastest, easiest way for me to go to her, get married and start doing all the necessary paperwork, and do it all the legal way? I know there isn't really any easy way, but I need all the information I can get. We just feel so desperate at the moment and we don't want to be apart any longer..

There is no easy or fast way.

You can either do K1 visa (fiance) or CR1 (spouse). For CR1 visa you'd get married in your country and then your wife files for you. You wait about year-ish for your visa and then you go travel to the USA.

K1 visa she files for you, you wait about 6 - 9 months. Once you receive your K1 visa you travel to the USA and you have to marry in 90 days.

Those are pretty much your only options. You can find guides on this website.

Either way you're going to be apart. Deal with it. Like 99% people waiting for the fiance or spouse visa.

K-1 might be a little bit quicker but still takes time.

Nothing quick about visa's and immigrations.

I have a friend though who stayed after his j1 expired and just got married in US , did all the paperwork and now he's on his way to a green card. So there has to be other way than k-1, or spouse visa?

Going to the USA with an intention to getting married and staying IS A VISA FRAUD. DONT DO THIS.

Think if you want to start a new life in a new country by doing something illegal?

Just file for K1 and wait few months. People can deal with separation, trust me.

Just because someone else does something like overstay on a J-1 and get "forgiveness" later does not mean it was the right way or legal way. And not everyone who does that method has an "easy time" with AOS or even successful.

This whole forum is about how to go about doing things the proper and legal way.

We all understand that separation is hard from someone you love and care about, almost all of us are dealing with that and have been for quite awhile (almost a year and a half for me and my partner!)

The whole point is, filing like we say for a K-1 or CR-1(whichever works best for you), is the right and legal way to be able to be together without having to worry about any ramifications, or even getting a ban placed on you for lying to immigrations.

A K-1, while a little quicker, is more expensive than the CR-1. And the CR-1 takes some more time but you have a GC upon approval.

You need to familiarize yourself here with the guides and read up on both options.

So take time, relax, and talk to you SO and see which visa option is correct for you, legally correct option that is.

Your intent to come in and get married and stay is fraud and no one here is going to tell you to do that as its FRAUD and against VJ's TOS.

The 2 legal options for your situation is either the K1 Fiance Visa or the CR1 Marriage Visa. While the K1 Visa is a bit faster, you cannot work once you get her until after you get married, file for AOS/EAD/AP and get EAD approved. On the CR1, it may take a bit more time but once its approved and you come to the USA, you can work immediately. You have to look at both options and see which will work best for you. Can you survive without being able to work when you first get here because your fiance will have to support you until then. Please look at the guides and see what is going to really work best for you.

Well I'm sorry, I didn't knew that was a fraud, because like I said my friend did that and everything's just fine for him. But I realise what worked for him might not work for others, that's why I came here to ask. I obviously want to do everything the legal way, because my SO is too much to risk for me..
