Fiance Let Go From Job - I-134 Question

My interview is at the consulate in Montreal in 42 days and my fiance got let go from his job yesterday as his company is downsizing. He is obviously on the hunt for another job but I am concerned about the I-134. He hasn't made enough to file taxes before this year so we have no tax returns, he does work part time for another company but it is only 2 days a week. If he does get a job he will only receive two pay stubs before the interview.

I have a joint sponsor, his Father, but I am concerned because he is the petitioner that him being unemployed may affect the application.

Are there any experiences with this or suggestions? Am I overreacting when it isn't a big deal?

hi

I kind of have a same case. Can someone please tell me, how can I make my fiance's mother as co sponser?

Do I need to mention this in my I 134 form or some handwritten letter with her mother's sign would be sufficient ?

Hi

I got my fiancé to still fill out the i-134 and mentioned he still has a part time job 2 days a week but is otherwise unemployed.

I got his dad to fill out an I-134 and compile all of the required accompanying evidence. I think it should be good enough, however I haven't had my interview yet. If you have a sponsor or cosponsor who meets the requirements and has properly filled out all of the forms, there should be no issue.

Thank you Shayden10, that gives a big relief.

My fiance is working but since she is a student, she makes only $34K an year, I am unsure if that's on poverty line, so I would attach a cosponser as well, which would be her mom's I 134

I am scheduling my interview for Nov 21st

Can I ask you what is packet 3 you sent? And Packet 4 is the offer to schedule your interview sent by your embassy - correct?

Hi! 34K is above the poverty line but it never hurts to have a backup just in case.

For the packet 3 I sent back the confirmation page of my DS-160, a photocopy of the biographic page of my passport, and a photocopy of the most recent packet 3 checklist for the Montreal embassy I found online. I was notified Montreal received my case on November 1 and sent my packet 3 the same day instead of waiting to receive it by mail. I received packet 4 by email on November 4 which tells me to go ahead and schedule an appointment and medical. I wasn't allowed to schedule the appointment or medical until I received that
