Folks, wanted to keep you informed. I received my interview call letter today. No change on the case status online.

Congrats 😊 did you receive online email notifications about each step, or just letters in the mail? when was your NOA2?

No notification, just the letter. I had just applied for I-130 and am here in the US so no NOA2, straight interview letter.

Greetings Everyone!!!!!!

I am super excited after 8 months of waiting my husband I-130 has finally been approved we are half way there!! Just checked today our case been forwarded to National Visa. Hoping he will be there before Valentine's(L) :D

Advice to all keep updated with your CASE. I had to file a service inquiry with a TIER 2 supervisor due to my case beyond processing time they had 30 days to respond. THEY responded WITH THE APPROVAL OF MY CASE.

Does anyone know where the National Customer Service Center is located? I've been trying to call from abroad and the only information I can find is that live assistance is available everywhere in the continental US from 8 am to 6 pm. The automated response keeps telling me to call back between those hours but I already am and it is still saying this.

I've finally received a response on our case. We did not get approved, but we are invited for an interview the end of September. Sigh, I thought it was very rare to have an interview for I-130 but I guess not. :(

That does not make any sense at all.

Do you and your spouse live here in the US? did you file an Adjustment of status also or just a I-130?

11/17/2016: Got engaged
11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box
01/12/2016: NOA1

We just filed I-130 because my husband is in removal proceedings. So we need to wait for I-130 before we can file 485. Yes, my husband is with me in the United States. This is really frustrating. :(

So it is not a SIMPLE I-130, and yes it requires an interview because of the removal proceedings.

stand alone I-130 applications DO NOT require interviews (very very rare cases). The law did not change, it is still the same process

Oh okay. I did not know this. Alright interview it is then. One more month before interview. That means we have to wait maybe 90 days to get a response.. Probably will get a response the day of if we are lucky.
