I'm just going to stop checking. Can't deal with it anymore.

So maybe... even though the VJ timeline says cases with NOA1 dates of Dec 5 are being processed, these cases may have November priority dates? Because before I thought people used the PD as the NOA1 (because this is when the case was officially accepted) but apparently it's the date they received the notice, which is usually a few days after the PD.

So my theory is they may not be working on cases with December priority dates yet?

Those are nice words.  The key to all this is to stay positive..  but those were very nice words

trying to ''forget'' about it for a little bit (I know it's nearly impossible, what I mean is, getting distracted and doing something you love) is also beneficial. I know what it like to feel like you're about to lose your mind, we are closing 1 year long distance. but you can do this <3 we are all together in this hellish process!

That's possible.

When I first filled out mine I put the NOA1 date as the date I received the notice in the mail. Then I realized it's the actual PD date on the notice so I changed it. So yes, very likely some of the dates entered here are off.

On the app I am still seeing mid-late November approvals. No more for early December.

Does it really matter? It's not like the PD and the dates the notice was received in the mail are that far off on average.... mine was just 10 days apart and I have seen others in VJ reporting similar number of days or even way less (3 days apart). So it is not like it is 1 month plus off. I would personally assume that they are currently working on November fillers for NSC and it doesn't necessarily looks like it is perfectly sequential on the month dates.

The good thing is that we are seeing quite a lot of November fillers being approved from NSC, hopefully by mid next month they could be in December already and once December is out of the way I believe things should go back to normal.

Even a couple days off adjusts the estimated adjudication times and possibly the VJ processing times as well. My PD is 12/12 but I received the hard copy on 12/16. When I adjusted it to the 12th, it also adjusted the estimated adjudication time. I agree they are not working sequentially. My thoughts on the process, as I had stated in an earlier post, they may all pull cases from the same workload. However, some work faster than others, some cases may require more rigerous vetting etc. Various factors.

I am not sure but December may be just as bad due to rush to get applications submitted before the 12/23 fee increase and also due to the change in presidency. I know those were my reasons for filing before the new year.

The Interagency Border Inspection System (IBIS) Name Check"” IBIS is a multi-agency effort with a central system that combines information from multiple agencies, databases and system interfaces to compile data relating to national security risks, public safety issues and other law enforcement concerns. USCIS can quickly check information from these multiple government agencies to determine if the information in the system affects the adjudication of the case. Results of an IBIS check are usually available immediately. In some cases, information found during an IBIS check will require further investigation. The IBIS check is not deemed completed until all eligibility issues arising from the initial system response are resolved
