Congrats on the approvals!!🎉 Any more approvals today? PD Nov 16, 251 days wait 😬 Anyone with the same or earlier PD still waiting? I keep questioning whether there is something wrong with our application.. It's hard to not worry like that.

I know I saw some of you posting a while back about expediting once we get approved with Nebraska but Im having trouble finding the posts. Can someone tell me the page number they're on or explain to me how to do this? I thought I saw someone mention that you have to call the embassy/consulate and they can bypass NVC???

Not sure about calling but you can email and request an expedite after you receive approval from uscis. You need your NVC case number first and it's best to do it as soon as you have it because if approved you don't have to pay any fees until the time of interview. You would send your request to NVCExpedite@state.gov

They generally respond within five days with an answer. Be sure to upload any proof of your request for the expedite and send it with your email.

I saw that Nebraska started processing/approving early December applications...sad sad sad

Hundreds of November applications (and even before) are still pending...

Way to go Nebraska non-service Center

11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box

I think they are processing cases simultaneously. It's hard to tell how they do their job.

I think so too. Or, some work faster than others. For instance at my job we all pull from the same workload in the order received. However, some of us work faster than others. Therefore, I might breeze through all the requests I pulled from two days ago and start on current requests, while others are still working on things from a couple days ago.

Exactly. Maybe they have like 500 agents working on 500 cases that range from November 1 to December 31, for example.

Right! Also have to factor in whatever vetting process or approval criteria they use. For some cases it might be cut and dry, while others not so much. Additional review equals additional wait time. Various factors to consider.

I still think it has to do with who has our applications. I am sure they are short handed, also I know each person works at their own pace. Also in consideration they too have a life with tribulations that also has to play in the affect of our application. We have to look at the center as actual people just like we are. I hope we all get a speedy person!!!!
