237 days here, PD Nov 16 😔 Come on Nebraska! 🙏

243 days. PD Nov 9th 😕 I'm at a lost on why they skipped over our app. I have called but nothing still. It's like they read a script. So frustrating.

I know they seem like robots sometimes 🙄 I get upset when I call because of their short responses. So we have decided to just leave it and ride out the frustrating wait. Feeling for everyone out there going through this wait! I hope the next stage is easier and quicker for us, we deserve that!

Nebreska is super slow! 258 days and counting-not a word from them. PD October 26, 2016! I am lost for words. I am trying to keep myself calm and try not to remind myself about this process, but it is not working for me.

They always tell me the website is showing Oct 31 cases being worked and mine is not pass that date. Just curious what do they tell you? You are clearly pass the website date. I hope they don't just read another script.

The status of this service request is:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show your case is in line to be reviewed by an officer. We ask that you allow additional time for this process to take place since we process these cases in the order received. If after 60 days you have not received anything in the mail, please contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at the number provided below.

Hi Everyone, this is my first time ever posting. Im glad to see Im not the only one who is patiently waiting for a response from Nebraska. I recieved my NOA1 11-25-2016 and I still have not recieved a second notice. I called USCIS for the first time ever and they were not much help. The rep. I spoke to told me to call back mid august that is 9 months after I sent my application in. Has anyone else heard anything different?

Hi, they told my husband when he called around 15 days ago that after 30 days my case should "expire" and if we haven't heard anything by then, then call back. So that expiry date for my case would be at 253 days wait...

But honestly over the course of this wait we have had so many different answers to our questions when we call.. I'm lost. 😔 We had one agent tell us the case was transferred to another service centre 4 weeks ago. The next time we called they said no that isn't true it never left Nebraska 😳.

USCIS is a joke, more so Nebraska center. They got to be better at keeping people informed all times.

Yeah it's better not to call at all I think. Being misinformed only makes it worse. It seems the process is totally out of our control...I was wrong to think that I could pin point the date when I would be getting a visa.. I now know that you cannot plan for anything. I have to just focus on the here and now. We have to remain positive and pray that things start moving forward for us soon 🙏

Thought I would share from the research I've done during my uscis phase:

1)  your priority date has passed based on the timelines for displayed on the uscis site and you still have not had any contact from the uscis

2) call and request to be escalated to tier two rep to get a status update as tier 1 knows nothing. Be courteous, gregarious, and talk them into it. Keep trying until you do get escalated.

3) submit an e-request: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do

4) contact your ombudsmen for assistance

5) escalate to your senator or congressman for help

Although #5 might not be able to expedite the actual case, any governmental body placing attention on a case may pressure the uscis into sooner than later action.

not sure if this will help anyone but hopefully it gives some insight into actions you can take to make sure your case moves along as it should within the process based on their published policies.

best of luck to all!

THIS IS JUST SO FRUSTRATING I HAVE BEEN LIVING WITH MY HUSBAND IN MEXICO AND WE HAVE A 4 YEAR OLD SON. ALL THAT I WANT IS TO MOVE BACK HOME AND KEEP MY FAMILY TOGETHER.

60 additional days!!! Omg! In line to reviewed? Was does that mean anyway has your background check cleared yet? Maybe if they saw us as people instead of case numbers this process wouldn't take so long.
