I know what you mean, plus i don't have any vacation time left until August. Better to keep my vacation and money until interview and taking some time off when my husband gets here.

That's the same thing i was thinking.

FYI peeps. Over 63000 I-130 submitted to Nebraska between oct 1 and dec 31 2016.   Compared to 23000 at the other centers.   Uscis received my case on nov 25  along with about 1000 or more.  None approved yet.  So I have a LONG way to go.

My case is with Nebraska and according to their website they only started working on cases received as of October 31 on June 14 and they have up to July 15 to finish with that. We made an e-enguiring they said they will get back to us by July 11 and that's what are waiting for.

I think you are getting close to approval. Believe me I know exactly how you feel! Check out the November I 130 filers thread  or the Nebraska I 130 thread, you will get an idea of what dates are being approved.

If you haven't received any RFE try not to worry something is wrong, I know, easy for me to say. I seriously was losing it the week before we got approved.

I would say that the VJ timeline is fairly accurate for the majority of people.

When I called I was told to go by the last updated stamp at the bottom of that page. That will show when the page was last updated which means the Oct 31 date is correct. I said if so how come November Nebraska cases have been getting approvals? Of course the answer was I don't know and not to go by the Apr 30 date. Sometimes I think they just make up stuff as they go along smh

All of the centers are busy.

Remember that the service centers are not just dealing with spousal cases. There are petitions for siblings, adjustment of status, naturalization, student visas, work visas, etc.

While the California service Center does not handle many immediate relative cases, they do handle other cases and currently have over half a million cases pending. That's more than 200,000 cases than the other 4 service centers combined.
