It really is... I'll be reaching 7 months next Wednesday. I plan to call them by then and demand to speak to a Tier 2 officer. I am expecting a decision on my case at least in the next two weeks.

Has anyone ever tried to do a case status request online? https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt

I feel like > 7 months should be outside normal processing times for I-130s.....

Hello all, I am a December filer but I follow this post to see if I can determine when my case will be approved. It will be 6 months for me on the 12th. I called and tried using the link above. When I called I was told they are working on PDs 9/30/2016, which it states on their website. The person I spoke with also said since they are still working on cases filed in September I have another 2-3 months before I would hear something. When I try to submit the request online it gives me a response stating that my case is within normal processing time so a file may or may not be generated, to refer to the website for processing times blah blah blah. Basically, it doesn't generate a request file number so I doubt my inquiries are being logged. However, I keep trying. If it's been over 6 months it's worth a shot.

Yes of course :)..it's under your name. it says timeline, just click on it. If you still don't see it just use this link http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=264988 I went on yours and copy paste the link. When you get in just keep scrolling down. It will show all information you wrote here but if you keep scrolling to the bottom of it you will see where it says around what date you should get the answer. I hope I helped. If not I will just screenshot that part of your TL page and post it here for you if possible😁

Thanks so much Tejts for your help. I got it :)

Hello everyone,

Does anyone here know what should be done if any changes of passport. Send an update about any changes to USCIS perhaps? Will it cause any delay?

My passport is almost full, only 2 consecutive blank pages which is enough for a visa label. I can't just sit here and wait. I want to travel somewhere while waiting. If I get a new passport, passport number will be different to the one submitted for I-130. Does it make things complicated at all?

Thank you all for taking your time to help.

Regards,

Not entirely confident that people are updating their case status on time here.

And that is what is making the info of so accurate

Hi all. I have been quietly following this forum and I have to see it's been great for moral support. I haven't had much to say/offer hence no messages. I'm thrilled today to say that I just got my approval!! NOA nov 9th.  Over to another long and dreaded wait!
