Yes it helps to know that other people are in the same situation.... may I ask, did you also file your CR1 application from abroad? My husband is already in the US (he started his job in November) and I can't wait to be with him again... We filed from Amsterdam because we got married in the Netherlands. I can't seem to get a good idea of the timeline after NOA2 (when they send the file to the NVC and afterwards to the consulate - in Amsterdam in my case). I am hoping this will not take long, but I am not sure what to expect..

Congrats. Jonuts11!  I can see the many approvals coming for the November 2016 filers in the next few days/weeks!

Would anyone know how much time is given to revert to USCIS in case there is an RFE, or to NVC for the payments and documents? The husband and I will be on a long trip and won't have access to regular mail (I hope they'd send a text message or email as we signed up for those).  Anything that can be sent/paid online should be okay but I don't want to bring papers for mailing while we're on the trip.  Would appreciate any info on this. Thanks and good luck to the rest of us who are still waiting!

I am living in germany and my husband lives in USA. We got married in the States and i had to come back. I miss him so much. It drives me crazy. I am not sure if you can do NVC E-mail processing  (this is way faster than sending everything through regular mail) so after we finally receive NOA2 it will be  a lot easier and faster.

Good Morning! It takes about 2 weeks for the process to move from USCIS to NVC. I would say just enjoy your trip and stop thinking of anything and like you said you signed up for updates then you should be good. Enjoy your trip.

My estimation is it would take another 4 months

congrats!!!! Love seeing approvals from Nebraska!!!:jest:

My husband filed and USCIS received documentation November 14. Case was routed to Nebraska. I feel better that I have had of an approval for somebody that filed in November! However has anybody else gotten approval notice? I am supper anxious because I was hopeful could start schooling in the US this September/October, but our process has been so slow. My daughter is already a citizen.
