Just keeping positive. One day at a time. There's also an issue of the school calendar where the start of classes here is in June. Guess I still need to enroll the kid and see what happens. I just wish we would know earlier about our approval so we can make a better decision about school.

Any November filers approved in Nebraska ?

Not yet! Our priority date is Nov 7, so hoping to hear something in May... Would anyone here know how long it takes for them to send the file to the NVC and to receive a case number at the NVC etc? Basically; how long is the next step going to take? :-) Good luck everyone!!!

Yesterday was the 6 month mark waiting. PD Nov 1. I hope May is the month!

Decided to finally register on these boards after watching September, October and November filer forums for several months now.

PD: 11/14.

Looks like things are moving a long for October. Some folks for mid October just got approved today, so keeping the faith that November will come around in the next couple of weeks. :)

I hope you are right!!! Just so we don't get transferred now, waited this long at Nebraska, so might as well ride it out.

approval date +7days = USCIS mails your document to NVC

within  7 days = NVC receives the file

+ another 3-4 days = NVC assigns a Case/IIN #

Yes, terrible to wait such a long time. We filed October 12, 2016 and were processed in Nebraska SC. So don't belong here :-) But now I'm happy to say we received NOA2 :star: by email, APPROVED :star::star::star:, dated May 5, 2017. After 199 days! To give you all what you need: Your NOA2 may come soon also from now. Success for all waiting.
