I130 November 2016 filers

Hi guys, 

 

I went to my infoPass appointment today. I did not even get to meet an officer. The front desk lady called him and emailed him. She’s not getting any response and asked for my cell phone number so she would call me back. Sigh.... the entire appointment lasted not even 5 min. Now need to wait for a useless phone call I guess. A phone call that will say the case is still under review or whatever it is. This entire thing is so pointless!

Sorry you’re having so many problems at getting some type of answers from anyone. There’s nothing easy at all abt this process and it really does keep one stressed.

If I went to each and every person checking their blood pressure who deals with immigration in one way or another, I bet everyone has high blood pressure, bags under eyes from not sleeping, has gained weight (eating from stress) weight loose ( can’t eat from stress) and some gone totally insane like a coco bird 🦅 

God help us and get us back to some what Normal Conditions...

I pray for your issues to get resolved like yesterday not soon enough!!!!!

Thank you Sundee for your encouraging words! My lawyer told me that at least this time the lady is contacting the immigration officer who is handling my case directly so we should hear from him directly. This makes me wonder, do all the online inquiries not go directly to the immigration officer.. hmm weird.. Anyways, I guess I just wait for a phone call then.

Hi guys,

I went to my info pass appointment yesterday 2/13 at the Federal Plaza in NY. It was a 3hr wait to speak to an officer regardless of the your appointment time. The office looked on their system and it turns our that they are waiting to schedule us for a 2nd interview. The office couldn't tell me when that interview will be or the nature of the interview but he did put in a request to expedite (just wrote 'please expedite' on the intake form I completed). I am hoping for something positive in the next week or two.

 

Has anyone gone through a 2nd I130/I485 interview? Any idea what we should be expecting?

No. They were filled concurrently with the I485 and I765 as spouse of USC.

Interesting. I have not gotten mine approved yet and filed since Nov 2016, but I only have my I-130 interview and I filed a stand-alone I-130.

I did not get a phone call back after two weeks + as they promised so I'm going to my second infoPass appointment this Friday. This time I am going in the morning.  Wish me luck!!!

I did not hear positive result. I was told to just wait. the officer who interviewed us is not ready to make a decision on our case. I don't know anymore. I am just going to wait and leave it up to my lawyer. Too tired and hopeless.

Oh sorry Yhwinnie. This is very tiresome and stressful. How much time does one really need to make a decision.. Hmmmmm

They send your case to the National Visa Center. Then the national visa center will send you a welcome letter in 2 to 3 weeks. The will have 6 steps you wil have to do before getting an interview. Which includes pays. You can Google National Visa Center steps and it will explain it.
