Time to make an info pass or contact ombudsman

Yup. My lawyer suggests after this inquiry we wait 60 more days because that's the rule before we contact ombudsman.

I finally passed the three-month waiting period after the I-130 interview on Dec 22, 2017. I then submitted an inquiry on 12/27/2017. They responded today with "We are still reviewing your case and your address has been updated. We will mail you a notice when we make a decision." and that's it. Seriously............

Oh sorry as it’s frustrating.. Wonder why taking so long... We pray this gets over for you soon.

Probably because they are suspecting marriage fraud because my education level is higher than my husband's. My income is also a lot higher than his etc...... who knows. But I believe God knows best about my marriage.

Omg that would be a very sorry lame excuse because some of the best marriages are this way. People can’t pick and choose who they fall in love with as it does not work that way.

Could you imagine if we had to ONLY select our spouses by them

matching our education or our salary. Ugly thought..

I love my husband unconditionally and he could make minimum wage and I Wouldn’t love him any less.. My husband is my joy and he’s what makes my toughest day brighter.. Oh no, I’m getting mushy ... lol

I just love him tho... 😍😍

Did any of you contact Ombudsman for case assistance with https://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance? Did you have to contact them with a lawyer or you can do it yourself? I feel like my lawyer is going through the rules too much. She's always trying to wait until the right days have passed before contacting... but this is ridiculous because USCIS always says 120 days after that it will add more 30-60 days.. How are we supposed to wait this long?

How did you guys make info pass appointment? I check online and I never see an open slot. Also, what happens during an info pass appointment? What do you ask? What is not supposed to be asked? etc? Any experience you can share with me please?

I made my info pass appt on line and in some cities such as the bigger major ones it takes forever and a day to get an appt.

I made my appt there to see why I hadn’t been approved yet or to at least get some type of status answer but all they said was Your “case was received” I was like I know that already but can’t you tell me if anything is progressing with it or some type of time frame to be reviewed.. Answer was no... It was a complete waste of time for me but Yinnie your Case is different so you might get positive results if you can ever get an appt.

Ask about your case status and why taking so long..

Good luck .. Keep us posted

Thanks for the response. Yup, I think it would be a waste of time too. My lawyer submitted an inquiry and hopefully waiting for a response soon this month. I tried checking the info pass webpage and I never see an open slot so I think it is even impossible to make an appointment at this point. I am going to wait for the response my lawyer will get and then directly ask ombudsman for help I think. I feel like I have been sending too many inquiries to USCIS in the past few months lol. I hope it won't have any negative impact. Hopefully the officer won't get angry and just unreasonably deny my case.

Good luck at whatever route you take but in the long run it’s good you have made every effort as that’s when Osbudsman comes in because they want to know that you made every attempt to get results before they get involved...
