The.Fab.Ella,

I met today with a man who actually cares. I provided him info regarding lack of process going on in Nebraska so hope to see some type of action.

I hope so, Sundee.  Thanks for going the extra mile for all of us here.

Finally got my RFE letter and they need me to send passport photos. Then said it can take 60 days from the day received to complete decision. Mind you they were sent in the first time.

Call them and tell them to look for it.  It was sent !!!   Smh.

Was name and date of birth of petitioner written on the back of each photo?

I received my approval letter, and I am so excited! Our NOA1 was November 28.

We never received and RFE, but I just wanted to let those who did know what we included, so maybe it will help you know what types of things they have accepted as proof of a relationship. We sent in literally no personal memorabilia. No phone logs, no pictures, no plane ticket stubs, no social media screen shots, etc. I was told by the service that we hired to review our paperwork that the USCIS doesn't really like seeing those things because they are easy to fake. We included three notarized affidavits from people who were at our wedding- my mother, my grandmother, and our wedding coordinator, who is also a friend. I wrote an affidavit of our relationship as well and had it notarized. We also sent in several receipts from our wedding- invitations, wedding photography, pre-marital counseling, and family planning classes- anything that had both our names on it. Lastly, we submitted copies of all pages of my life insurance and 401k statements, which both list my husband as the beneficiary. And of course a copy of our marriage certificate.

The other piece of advice that I was given was no never call, write, inquire, or do anything but patiently wait for your approval. I was told that if they have to pull your file and check on it, it just slows down the process. I know the wait is frustrating, but it doesn't sound like anyone who did do anything to check, got anything but more frustration out of it.

Good luck to everyone!

My husband is also very stressed.. He has depression and this whole process makes it worse! Making the burden so much heavier on me.
