It's truly said to get an RFE almost one year after submission. More weeks/months added to the process. And to think that during the one year wait, a lot of things have already happened to the marriage, more proof that it is legit.

I received an RFE. I have 2 questions -

 

They request ORIGINAL marriage certificate..... is this normal / okay ?

 

Bonafied relationship - How do you guys send logs from whatspp ? take screen shots (which is time consuming) or export to text then copy to word and select chats overtime and send ?

How do you send call logs from phone ? send print out of phone bills ? filtered to my spouse's number ?

I printed out phone records filtering my spouse's number. I did not send every month. I sent the beginning, mid, and end that's what my lawyer suggested too. Honestly most of my phone logs with my husband are only one minute long because we only call to ask to pick me up from the bus station... I mean we live together already what's the point with making long phone calls? I hope the officer won't be that stupid to say one-minute is too short to prove a real relationship. 

 

For logs from WhatsApp, I heard people just take screens shots of some of them. (Like maybe the most convincing is like "Hey honey, can you get milk from the supermarket?" Something mundane that every couple would ask each other to do. Similar to above, choose something beginning of relationship, mid, and recent. 

 

When I went to my interview, I had to show my original marriage certificate, but I am not sure about RFE.. I guess you can send in your original because you can always get one again at city hall.

I'm what'sup go on to the chat of your husband and in the right hand corner is there little dots. Click on that and selet more and you can email the whole chart to your email.

How did you send ? like export it into text then copy in word and print it out ?

We FINALLY got our approval letter!!! We were PD 11/21 and we apparently were approved on 10/5. There was no email or update on the website. I'm really still in disbelief. I hope this means good news coming asap for those of us who were waiting for so long!

Glad to see they are working on Nov cases but are bouncing around with the dates

I know ... it was hard to continuously see dates way past ours getting approved, too, with no reason as to why. So I can't even imagine dates even earlier than ours. I hope yours is on the way very soon!

Here is the USCIS response to the Congressman's inquiry about our case :

 

This email is in response to the inquiry regarding Mr. XXXX Forms I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, and Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), which were filed with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on November 28, 2016.  USCIS records indicate that your constituent’s Form I-130/I-129F cases are pending assignment to an officer at the NSC.  These cases are being worked in the order it was received.  As indicated on the USCIS Website, the estimated processing time for Forms I-130/I-129F at the NSC is cases received prior to December 9, 2016.  However, the average amount of time for Form I-130/I-129F processing at the NSC may extend beyond the estimated processing time posted on the USCIS Website.  Please note that estimated processing times are processing goals and not a guarantee that applications will be processed within the estimated timeframe.  At this time, we are unable to determine when your constituent’s Form I-130/I-129F cases will be assigned to an officer for adjudication at the NSC.  If your constituent does not receive a decision or other notice of action within 45 days, you may contact us for an update.

 

We all know that the cases are not being worked in the order it was received, as they claim.  Also, this reply came in today, when USCIS promised the Congressman's office an Oct. 3 reply.  I have also filed an online inquiry and they said I should hear from them on the 10th so am hoping to hear from them today, yesterday being a holiday.

 

I am visiting my husband in two weeks time so we can spend our anniversary together, and I am hoping there would not be any problem with our B1/B2 visa (traveling with my daughter).  I really do hope they get done with the November filers this month.

That's is the reply I received when my Congress woman check into mine. Then a week later I received an email stating letter out for RFE. Not understanding what more do they need. I sent in a lot of things. Enjoy your vacation. Your approval will be here waiting on you when you get back.
