As you all remember, I called and talked to a tier 2 IO at USCIS last Wednesday where she responded that our application has not even been assigned to anyone yet. Well 305 days later, I get home and guess what waiting for me in the mailbox!!! YES!!! NOA2!! APPROVED!!! And of course dated, September 21, 2017, The day AFTER I called!!! Thank the Lord!!!!

I am beyond the moon!!! Now if I can just wake up my husband and tell him!!!!!!

BTW, NOTHING is updated online OR in both APPS!!!! WTG USCIS!!!!

Omg thank heaven. I have tears in my eyes to hear this great news... I'm at a loss for words... Congrats 🎊🎈🎉🍾

Hi all! For anyone considering contacting a congressman. Here is the response we got. We have found that the senators representative was just as helpful if not more helpful than the congressman. The senators rep  we have is advocating for us and is receiving updates on the cases progress from USCIS. They also requested for our case to have immediate adjudication and the rep notified me yesterday that our case was just adjudicated for a final decision. So maybe their request worked! They help put pressure on USCIS and draw attention to the case. It also helps receiving updates on the progress as opposed to being left in the dark. so definitely worth a try!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

We had the same situation, the NOA2 letter was dated Sept 12, the online status was finally changed on Sept 20, we received email/text notifications/update in the app on Sept 20. Better late than never USCIS ;-)

Nice... Way to go as Nebraska is always slower then other service centers and this really needs addressed. People file for n March this year already approved at other service centers and we at Nebraska are punished because they won't even out the work load.. Its like our spouses are just as good as others, so I pray for change to their system as it needs it in a very severe way... God bless us all

Sundee, if you haven't called yet, do it. and ask for a tier 2 officer and after they read to you the same old song and dance as everyone else has, ASK them, has your case been assigned to someone! That way you know for sure it hasn't been passed up. I truly expected to get a RFE after I called, but Thank God it was approved!!! I most definitely front loaded our application to make sure nothing was missing!!!!

Andrea I did call and asked to speak to a tier 2 and all the lady did was ignore my request and then submitted a inquiry and given me a huge long number as a conformation number. Don't worry as I will contact senators and congressmen here and go from there.. This every day thing has my blood pressure to the roof every day.. Immigration causes stress which cause high blood pressure and what's worse is they bs abt everything... Err

I spoke with Tier 2 yesterday and today and I got two different status updates:

The officer I spoke with Wednesday assured me that our case was assigned to an officer and they are actively working on it. He also added that there is nothing wrong or missing and we are just waiting for approval.

The officer I spoke with today informed me that there is NOWAY for them to tell if the case is assigned to an officer or not. He also added that all they can do is submit a service request and that's about it. He asked to wait for 30 days or may be more for a response after a SR is initiated. When I told him what the other officer told me, ha said that that was only "an opinion" based on what they think is going on.

Now, I have no idea what or who to believe.

11/17/2016: Got engaged
11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box

Congratulations.

This proves to me that NSC is a real "black hole": No one knows what's going on in there

Yes I agree. Last time I submitted a request to change my address and that was in April. The response I got is they changed it successfully. However, my mail for interview was mailed to the previous address and that happened in August. Good thing my lawyer got the mail too. Now, on the day I received the mail from my lawyer, I submitted another request to change and that request got responded with a mail which I received just yesterday saying my case is currently under review by a senior service immigration officer but this time sent to my new address. This happened after I did my interview. Very weird..

Hey everyone I'm not  sure if I told u abt me getting a chance to be in a teleconference with the CIS Osbudsman organization. Guess what? I was invited to join and this is a very nice in a life time event. To All Nebraska filers I will be speaking on behalf of each and everyone of us of the horrible frustrations we suffer from their neglect in getting us processed in a timely matter. To all my Nov 2016 filers including myself I hope this will get the ball rolling and let the osbudsman organization do their work in correcting this huge problem and get myself and my close other friends that I've met on this journey approved.....
