So when you say your husband is in removal

proceedings, what does that mean? He had overstayed his visa permit and is now trying to change his status? Completely understandable now why you had an interview. I guess I was under the assumption that he was out of the country and you are trying to bring him here. Well at least you have had some kind of movement of your application. Me and my husband, we are waiting with me here in the USA and him in Spain. I know the delay is because he is in the process of getting his Spanish citizenship and originally from Pakistan. What a mess.

Yes he overstayed his student visa. Yea I totally understand. Feel like things got much stricter after Trump administration. Hang in there everyone!!!

My husband was finally able to talk to a LIVE USCIS representative a few minutes ago to follow up our petition which is past the normal processing time.  However, he cannot put in a service inquiry as he has sought the help of his congressman prior, and the congressman's office put in an inquiry last Sept. 18.  USCIS has until Oct. 3 to respond to the congressman's inquiry.  My husband was told that he can make another service inquiry on Oct. 19 but I really do hope he won't have to by that time.

Well, I don't think there's a fool proof way to get this thing approved the soonest time so we just do what we can do, and hopefully someone somehow can move our case forward.  It's been 10 months, and I thought this would be a breeze for someone from the Philippines but alas, we are stuck. Nothing else to do now but wait, and hopefully hear some good news soon.

Anything is worth trying. None of us understands the methods uscis uses or understands why other service centers process petitions within 5 months or why ours still sits in limbo. I'm so rum dumb over this anymore and don't want to care anymore..

Congrats!!!!! I am still waiting for result after my interview... I know it's very frustrating that they don't update online anymore. I guess because people have been complaining so much about why other cases are moving faster that they don't update anymore so that people won't know that some cases are faster!! It's frustrating. I saw online that people get approval the day of or a few hours after the I-130 interview, but here I am still waiting. It has been two days almost not counting the weekend.

Congrats though!!! Happy for you and your husband!!!!!!!
