Where did you read the draft? 

My husband is also Iranian national but born and raised in Qatar (never lived in Iran)... but I'm worried also as we are waiting out NOA2 and have plans to visit US for a friends wedding in May... if they don't issue him another visit visa it will be terrible news.

We worry because it's our life and our future. 

He has every right to be worried and nervous... as he wants to be with his wife and not have to worry everyday about the future.

I haven't seen Egypt on any of the lists so you should be in the clear... however, if they are trying to do a new "vetting" / security process, the processing times may certainly be longer for everyone and as things get backed up.

Thank you, another question.. if anything happened during my process like including egypt, could that terminate my process? or delay it ?

Sure, everyone has rights to feel how ever they want, however being worried about something you have no control over is counterproductive.  Then, to not do your own research over something so important like your family and instead to panic?  It is not healthy.

 

Time and time again on this thread, in this forum, the same questions full of Chicken Little-esque qualities and the same answer to wait as no one knows yet.

Absolutely... they can deny or stop the process at any time for anyone. 

They could even issue an immigration visa and deny someone upon entry to the US.

Does anyone know how the rules will apply is someone is one of the "7 listed nationalities" however, they've never resided and weren't born in their home country? 

 

For example, my husband is Iranian Nationality, however, he was born and lived his whole life in Qatar. 

 

When it comes to doing immigration and obtaining clearances and background checks this information would be coming from Qatar, not Iran. I am hoping that this is the small bit of hope we have at things working out for us.

In theory, yes. In practice, it's not likely. The seven countries, with the exception of Iran, are countries in conflict (read: war, civil or other) or safe havens for bad buys - and Egypt most certainly is not either of those. Besides, Egypt is an anti-bad guy partner.

Agree. It's callous to tell someone get a hobby as if that will somehow make them not worry about the very thing that will cement their family unit physically together

Apparently if after 30 days those Countries comply with some higher level of background checking then it will resume, if not til will remain on pause. No EO on that has dropped just yet, however.

I think for you guys, it's best to sit right and watch the reliable news sources about executive orders. What we are seeing as of right now hasn't been made official just yet and may not go official for a while. That being said, it could also happen next week. 

 

I know it's worrying on a major level. I would work on getting her interview moved up if able for whatever reason possible if you're able to. Seek help from your local congressman about this and if you're able to afford a lawyer also, consider one.
