It seems to me Muslims and middle east is what will be affected the most. From visas to AOS to any kind of applications ESPECIALLY REFUGEES. It seems he wants to make sure the people here share the same values as america when it comes down to religion and EVEN LGBT RIGHTS (what a surprise) He said he wants to ban EXTREMISTS. That's why he is targeting middle east.

So far he CHANGED HIS MIND ON DACA. Focusing more in what I mentioned above as it seems.

I recommend you people read this http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-suspend-immigration-iraq-countries-sources/story?id=45023800

''

Several immigration experts and congressional aides briefed on the matter told Reuters that visa holders from Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen will be primarily affected by the new order.

According to Reuters, one of Trump's executive orders will issue restrictions on refugees and is expected to include a multi-month ban on status admissions.

The ban will stay in place until the State Department and the Department of Homeland Security can come up with methods of improving and intensifying the refugee vetting process, the report notes.

Following. I would think because you're in process that you're OK to AOS. Unless it will be grandfathered somehow which I don't even think its possible for an EO. However after that signature, for anyone wishing to apply, it could be bad.

He will sign the order tomorrow... but I believe it'll be on the visa end...before ppl enter.

I believe he will affect mostly the people who fall in those categories I mentioned in my reply above... That's what the news is saying

I don't like how some people cut a little sentence of the whole article and made it seem like ALL APPLICANTS FROM EVERYWHERE APPLYING FOR EVEYTHING will be affected.

It is clear who he is targeting. 1-Illegals 2-Criminal Legals 3-Refugees 4-Work Visas 5-Visas. But mostly, mostly, Middle east because of the ''terrorism background and extremist influences''.

More specifically : Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen

Indeed. We are apparently in similar page. You are adjusting status I am removing conditions....

But considering both Sweden and Brasil are catholic places with no history of terrorism or extremism we should be fine.

I feel bad for everyone from Middle east at this point I think I would advice make sure you guys don't have terrorism or extremism influences and perhaps hire immigration lawyers...

He probably won't deny everyone but he will triple check everyone before going on with anything

I can confirm things are taking a lot longer for MENA folks lately. We are closing in on the one year mark, still pending backgrounds.....no interview in site. It feels like somehow the background checks for certain nationals got stricter. Or it could be my paranoia. And we did get a lawyer.....any MENA person should for now, IMO.

This is not a drill. Tomorrow, President Trump plans to sign an Executive Order banning Iranians as well as six other Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States, according to both Congressional sources as well as media reports.

It remains unclear for how long the ban will be in place. Sources tell NIAC it could range from 30 days to several months, after which a more stringent visa application process with ideological tests will be put in place.

At this point, the trajectory should be clear to all: What started with the discriminatory Visa Waiver bill H.R. 158 in late 2015 has now evolved into a blanket ban for Iranian passport holders, only to be followed by an “ideological” test that Iranians and six other nationalities - but not others - will be subjected to. And once again, Iranian are targeted while citizens of Saudi Arabia are excluded from these measures - even though Iranians have not committed acts of terror on US soil while Saudi citizens were behind both 9/11 and other Wahhabi-inspired acts of terror.

Question.

Once Donald trump signed the order, is it going to be on immeditely next day? Is that easy? When they are talking about rolling out obamacare they were saying it would take months or years for them to do it. It is not a minute order. So I guess once he singed it democrats and republicans will argue on this. Otherwise where is checks and balances?

My fiancee has an interview tomorrow for K1 visa.
