True! My husband has already started thinking about when to fold his business so that he can come back. We did wait for 2 years to be together but if a country doesn't want me, I'm not gonna force them to accept me. I still hope that Trump doesn't change anything about legal immigration because not everyone can afford to give up and move out. Here's to hoping that everything works out for everybody.

I must have missed that part of it.

In any case, there is no reason for alarmism from any community.

The USCIS have the right to revoke naturalization if there is any indication of fraudulent behavior, concealment of material facts or willful misrepresentation during the naturalization process (like engaging in/omitting criminal activity, procuring citizenship through a sham marriage, etc).

I actually made the effort to look it up, like you said. I couldn't find any statistics that matched exactly what you wrote. This is what the FBI 2015 Hate Crime Statistics report says: "Of the 5,493 known offenders, 48.4 percent were white, 24.3 percent were black or African-American, and race was unknown for 16.2 percent of the offenders. The rest were of various other races."

I couldn't find any unbiased information on the geographical location of these crimes. Honestly, I don't understand why it matters if any of these crimes happened in "pro-democrat", "republican" or "pastafarian" zones. Just because the majority in a county vote "blue" doesn't mean everyone living there is a "pro-democratic criminal". Correlation can indicate causation but it doesn't imply it.

I don't know if most hate crimes are hoaxes even if, for example, Breitbart want me to believe that. To be perfectly honest with you, I wish I could believe it but I and everyone else have a moral obligation to be critical of such claims first. Fact is we won't truly know about actual hate crime statistics until the FBI publish their 2016 report next year. Any indication of a hate crime, however, should be taken seriously, regardless of who potentially committed the crime. History should have taught everyone that but it does have an annoying tendency to repeat itself, as cliché-ridden as it sounds.

I saw the 60 Minutes interview and he did ask people to stop committing hate crimes. But why conduct dirty, divisive politics in the first place if you care so much about hate crimes? The Brexit referendum should have been a first, bitter taste of divisive politics. Trump has said a lot of things but has yet to act on any of them. How is Obama encouraging more riots? And since you used "more" riots, what riots are you specifically referring to?

Whose lifestyles/religion are you forced to adopt?

They can, but that doesn't mean they should or that they will. Many people admit to wrong doings throughout their immigration process. I had to explain my prior over stay at my K1 interview. I was approved. Does that mean I should be chastised by strangers on the internet several years later, about the overstay? Of course not. It's completely irrational behavior, and people are just grasping at straws to find fault with the Trumps.

I have read recent reports about the general statistics of hate crimes being committed in pro-democratic cities. Unfortunately I can't find the link now, and I really couldn't be bothered to dig into my search history, because I am confident that so many of this anti-trump rhetoric is absolute nonsense. Until you understand the mainstream media bias, there won't be any convincing you anyways. My point was merely that Trump is not to blame for any of the hate crimes, or any of the racists out there. Trump wants to keep foreign terrorists and criminals out of the USA, and if he needs to go to extreme measures to do that, it doesn't make him racist.

As for hate crimes, yes I am well aware that most are committed by whites, that's also because whites make up most of the population. You should also ask yourself why a minority group makes up for 24% of those reports. And I did not say that most hate crimes are hoaxes. I am talking about the very recent reports since Trump's election. There is no credibility to most of the accusations being reported, and some people are getting flat out caught for either lying or committing hate crimes against their own religious groups. This is a very hard topic to discuss because I don't want to break any rules of this website but also because I feel like I can't even make these statements without people assuming that it's because I am racist. So I really am hesitant to post links or carry on this conversation any further. That goes for your question about who's lifestyle I am forced to adopt... I really can't answer that because I know my words will be twisted around and misunderstood, and I also genuinely don't want to offend anybody on this board. So I guess we will just have to agree to disagree there.

Trump can't act on anything until he is president, so don't expect anything to change just yet. And his politics are squeeky clean, by the way, when compared with Hillary.

I think India has a right-wing government, and obviously the US hindu community is attempting to draw parallels with Trump. That Indian government also campaigned on thinly-disguised attempts to clamp down on muslim immigrants in India.

Trump can't act on anything until he is president

Re-re-re-re-restating the obvious.

A more realistic concern in the meantime ought to be whether Obama will try to offer any kind of amnesty or "pardon" to illegal aliens, or again set back the processing of ongoing immigration petitions as occurred after his DACA decree:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/421247-i-129f-delay-at-the-csc-a-comprehensive-analysis-of-the-data/

What a kick in the teeth either would be to everyone who's going through (or who has gone through) the legal-immigration process.

If Obama tries to issue blanket pardons for groups of illegal aliens, or all of them, we might reasonably expect the legality of those pardons to be challenged (and reversed) by President Trump.
