Yea, been following it on the news... I guess any form of re-direction of current funds to Mexico can later that way be claimed as having payed for the wall.

Spicer was just asked specifically, during the live press-conference, if the visa block will affect ppl already in the country. He was very evasive in the answer and said something along the lines that the safety of the country is most important and we will know more later in the week...

A few days ago I have been listening to some of Melania's interview as where the interviewer asked her, "What about immigration?" to which she replied that Donald has nothing against legal immigration. It's illegal that they want to stop, blah blah. "I followed the law. I followed a law the way it's supposed to be and you should do that."

 You mentioned it being a trade off to soften on DACA.   I contend it's more of a slow play to avoid slowing up cabinet nominations and advancing other items.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if he turns around on legal immigration too. I'm not sweating yet as I am afraid this will mostly affect Muslim countries and those still at the Embassy stage. Which is horrible and an act of discrimination. I feel like our petitions for AOS, ROC etc could slow down a little but that's about it.

I would assume without a doubt anything from a Muslim country will now slow down.

So basically the suspension of issuance of visa and other national benefits to nationals of countries of particular concern, as I read it right that will be countries where IS is active and overall Muslim nationals. Wow.

He really cant stop refugees, 1968 UN law prevents it unless he wants to be even stupider than normal and withdraw the USA from the UN. 

 

I had a friend last night say he was glad trump was in office.  Not for what you may think though.  He wants the American people to realize how bad it can really get so that maybe they'll get their heads out of their own butts.  (Not verbatim obviously... lol)
