I think I can say with confidence that Reagan would be rolling in his grave right now.

He is probably rolling over with joy

Reagan was called names and considered a joke and not taking serious when he ran for President, just like Trump

America has spoken

Lotsa depressed people buying flowers today. We just had someone come spend over $130 on her co-workers because they are all having a bad day. This area of the state we're at had Clinton at 76% to Trump at 11%. Many sad people around.

We have been partying here at my work, We are in victory mode. We are drinking beer and celebrating. It is a good day here in Texas

That sums it up quite well. I voted for Bernie and was ticked off at how the dnc handled the primary, and Hillary's e-mail fiasco also ticked me off, but I still couldn't vote for Trump with any clear conscience.

Even with a republican house and senate, I don't see much of the drivel Trump has promised coming to fruition. The one thing that may happen with republican control and a vacant Supreme Court seat is planned parenthood taking even more of a hit nationwide than it already has. The other promises of building the wall and banning Muslims will more than likely not ever happen.

Just a small challenge of thought to your optimistic side - what happens when the establishment republicans who loathe Trump, realize they cannot control him? I mean that seriously... because when you make a deal with the devil, something always comes back to bite the head that feeds you. You said that his promises won't happen, and yes even I would admit they seem unlikely. But the result of last night, also for a time seemed unlikely.

How does Trump make any moves in congress without the establishment republicans? They are still the majority of the party. If the establishment republicans don't back him, how does anything get passed?

where do you work, that you can drink beer on the job. Are they hiring ?

And drinking on the job at about 9am in Texas. I'm thinking he's a gov't employee.

Service company in North Dallas. It's a small company only 7 employees, all my guys are tired from staying up last night and watching the results

This is a historical event in US History, we have decided to celebrate today instead of working. This day will go down in history as one of the greatest days in America

Depends on how quickly he can buy them or hold their feet to the fire. If he could make ''the booger eater'' sort of tow the line anything is possible. Remember he has threatened pretty much any republican who opposed him with trouble in the future, and he has advisors on his side that are self-described fascists and pro-anarchists looking to burn the entire system down or throw it into chaos. They are cowards, Teddy. It all depends on how many of them would be willing to put their necks out to really stop him.

I dont understand all the drama. My life would not have ended if Crooked Hillary had won . I got the same feeling I get when Georgia is the underdog and beats Florida

Good ole liberal VT. Although we did elect a Republican Governor. Despite the fact that he ran against a democrat who was backed by Bernie and Obama, as well as one senate and one house rep(both long time members) who are also democratic and also got re-elected and also backed her. Now go explain that one.

Lot of sour grapes, around the inter tubes this morning. Threats against Donald, tweets to ask "one black brother to take one for the team and shoot the President elect in the head"

All day yesterday, I kept seeing the same meme ...The winners mustn't gloat, the losers mustn't complain. We need to unite. Of course, the people posting that were Democrats, and the tone of the message this morning on those self same websites is radically different. Vastly. Such a shock I guess, the born to be President stepping on her necktie.

It seems to me, that the people have spoken. All the complaining, moaning, dire predictions are just a waste of bandwidth. I think it would serve a better purpose if the main stream media were to turn the rhetoric down, stop with the constant diet of gloom and doom, and give the man a chance.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Lets not jump the gun. A while back, I posted why the only thing worse for most Trump supporters than a loss would be a Trump victory. No doubt we'll be revisiting that theme down the road. For now, enjoy your celebration.

I agree but I kind of feel that it's better to have him as the sacrificial lamb/scapegoat than someone actually better.
