Hello,

Our petition has been sent to the consulate, and are waiting on packets 3 and 4.

For the US Embassy in Accra, are packets 3 and 4 automatically delivered via email or post?

Are they sent to both the petitioner and the applicant?

We are curious as to what the process has been like for recent applicants.

Thanks in advance!

The Ghana embassy will send a letter by mail informing you when the beneficiary can go to the embassy to pick the packs up. Typically you will drop off the letter on a Wednesday morning and pick up the packets that afternoon.

In our case, I, the petitioner, received the letter at my home in the US. I scanned it and sent it to my then fiancé. Some say the embassy will send a letter to the beneficiary, but many don't get those letters.

Be patient. It took us about 2 months to get the letter.

Thanks! To clarify, when you say "you will drop off the letter on a Wednesday", what letter are you referring to?

It's the letter that will be sent to you in the mail. I received ours in the mail, scanned it, sent it to my then fiancé, he printed it off and took it to the embassy at the assigned time. It's kind of a welcome letter.
