We are glad to hear you told the truth, but if you came to this forum for insight and advise, then let people who have jumped the rope or at least have an idea of the situation inform you.

When you mentioned you met on Facebook, you opened more doors for curiosity. My brother met his wife online 3 years ago and all he said was that he met her at a friend's wedding. Because the dates he visited the country corresponded with his story, all he presented were photographs of their wedding and relationship details. His wife was issued a visa. Case closed.

Sometimes we only need to share the necessary informations to avoid tangling in a web. To summarize, if you never mentioned Facebook, the CO won't go withchunting to count many friends you have in common.

I've had my page like this for 7 years!! I didn't just do that. You sound ignorant right now. Asking why I did it knowing I had a interview. If this has been done YEARS ago what are you talking about?

When you have mutual friends with someone on Facebook you can see the same friends you have with that person. Last time I checked that's how you add people. Just because someone page is private does not mean they are being or are suspicious.

I know some CO interview is not fair, but base on what you said, I believed you guys didn't have enough call time. One week is not enough!!!!I can tell you that...M and my fiancee call daily and face time almost 7 days a week since we engaged.

Since with 7 days face time, guarantee you CO will ask more evidence..in your case FB,,,, but was blocked!!!!!!

If I am CO interview, I would raise my suspicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My relationship isn't fake and it was denied because she couldn't access my friends. That isn't grounds to deny anyone. She could have pulled up his page and found them but she didn't want that. So she was just being rude and wanted to deny. If he offered to show her his page and she declined that shows right there she didn't care to know the truth.

Why is it when someone gets denied you all swear it's because we made the mistake and not think that the CO could hav just been doing it to be rude?

Come on there's people faking relationships ever day that get approved with little to no evidence at all! But when people have a strong relationship that that person might not agree with you all say oh red flags?? Please tell me what red flags???

Because we all perceive things differently so for one person to hold another persons future in their hands is crazy.

Him and I know we showed everything and did everything RIGHT! We didn't lie or cut corners. Him and I will get married and go from there.

You all really shouldn't think that all the CO's are honest in their decision making. They make mistakes just like we do; and I know for a fact there wasn't anything else wrong she didn't know that shshe could see people on my page. Again that is not a red flag or a reason to deny someone and then say I was just looking for a man.

No one is blaming you. We are trying to help you. We are trying to make you understand that Just because the CO stated FB that does not mean that is the only issue. 7 days is not good for the consulate you are dealing with. What happened with others does not matter.

We are trying to help you realize that you will have a better chance at success the second time if you strengthen your case. At this point nothing else matters.

It never ceases to amaze me that VJers make posts, then people comment and give advice, and the OP insists on refuting them instead of just saying ok thanks and taking time to think and reflect on the advices. Why are you so defensive? No one is sayng your relationship isn't real. Jeez!

Face time is when we were in the same country! Him and I talk everything when we can with the fact that they control the internet and shuts down Facebook at any given time.

hm i think it should of been obvious that if your " how we met" is facebook you would make sure it was not on private , and since that mutual friend is based on what you a factor why yall met in the first place, the mutual friend not having a facebook anymore all of a sudden could look odd to a CO. Also the trip was a bit too short , if you had a second trip that would of def antly helped you , although some ppl do get approved with just one trip , one trip with just 3-7 days is nothing, if the trip was a week and some days or 2 - 3 weeks , you would of been better off

CR1 and a few more trips and putting your facebook on public seems to be the solution

Again we have and had mutual friends! There's a large Ethiopian community here in Vegas. From me having friends from people here in Vegas we both popped up on each other's add to friends list. Got it?

Well who would of known the co would actually check the Facebook to me that seems odd.

FYI when I had my Facebook it was completely private I know a lot of people that do the same.

Too many phychos on fb in my opinion
