Return of documents handed in?

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this for me. During the interview, there were plenty of documents handed into the consulate. Main example would be my fiance's pay stubs. Although its not too big of a deal if they kept the information. We were wondering if that would be returned in the brown envelope, along with my passport/visa.

Thank you for your help

You will likely have to use the fill out the form above to get your original documents returned.

As noted in the previous post you can ask for them back if you want to fill out the form and you don't have access to what's in the brown envelope which you hand in at the border, if that's what you were asking as well?

why the concern, if you don't me asking.....Paystubs can always be reprinted, found online or otherwise your fiance will get their W2 at year end for tax purposes if they're worried about that.

Mine weren't returned to me, however I kept some extra photocopies of stuff for myself just for documentation purposes.

Like I said it's not a big deal. Was just curious if they just keep all the documents that we handed in. Figured we would need the same information for the AOS. I should've made extra copies just in case.

They kept mine as well. Luckily I have two copies of many of my originals EXCEPT for my police certificate... which I'm unsure if I'll need in the future... and it's much more difficult to get one when you're out of country.
