K-1 Fee Payment confusion - Please help.

Dear kind VJ Users and Moderators,

I know my question is country specific and I've checked the Indonesian portal, but I can't seems to figure out how to post a question specifically in the portal.

MY QUESTION:

My fiancé and I filed an I-129F petition and it has been approved. We have been working on completing the Packet 3.

At the moment we've completed 90% of the requirements. However we are struggling to figure out how to proceed with the Visa fee payment. By clicking the link on the email I received from the US embassy in Jakarta I was re-directed this website: https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=English&country=Indonesia.

I tried create a new user profile but, I keep getting the following error message:

1. Your request cannot be processed at this time. The site administrator has been alerted. User could not be created.
2. Please ensure First Name and Last Name are entered as they are in your passport.

I typed my first name in the first name column and later tried both my first and middle name but still the same error message as above.... What to do???

Out of desperation, ​I even tried to put in my old email address, one which I most likely used to register when applying for US tourist visa in 2013, and asked for a temporary password but I didn't receive any email from the administrator...... What to do???

Also that darn re-captcha thing... do you put space between words?? UGH!!!

Could someone suggest a solution or a contact number of a person that I should speak to regarding this issue?

Are you using Internet Explorer as your web browser? Some Government websites seem to dislike Firefox and others and won't let you complete online forms, or give weird errors such as you describe.It's just a thought...hopefully others here know more or better answers, just trying to help.

Hey Rob -

I've been using Chrome throughout the whole process including DS-160, I don't have IE or FireFox in my computer. I will try Safari. Thank you.

In the mean time I'll wait for more response from VJ Website and an actual response from the US Embassy in Jakarta.

Problem solved. An email from Jakarta Embassy confirmed that I will pay the visa fee at the embassy before interview.

I was going to say you can pay the fee at the interview but see you already found out.

Are you impressed by the embassy's fast response? Unless something changed within the last year, I was extremely pleased at how prompt they replied and were very helpful.

Good luck with the interview, my now wife had her K-1 interview in Jakarta and it went very smooth.

Not sure if people are still reading this thread. But Rob's advice work. The http://www.ustraveldocs.com/id/ website works fine for me with Safari web browser. THANK YOU!

ch3john, it is truly impressive how fast and efficient the Immigration unit in USEM Jakarta responds to my inquiries. One time they wrote back in 15 minutes and answered 17 questions!! I look forward for my interview and get this whole process done and over with. I hope it will be smooth and hassle free!
