My fiance has an American daughter. Do I need to do anything for her?

When I filled out the K1 application, i put down my fiances daughter who was born in the US. She has a SSN and American Passport. Her mother is Russian.

My case has moved on to the NVC phase. When I looked at the Processing fees, her daughters name is on there for me to select. I can't select and therefore pay them yet, I guess it's too early to do so? They just received the paperwork today.

Anyway, would her daughter need to go to the interview? I understand K-2 applicants need to go but I did not file a K2 since she is american, She is 6 years old. My fiance had her in the US obviously.

I didn't think I needed to fill out the K2 nor would I have to send the daughter to Moscow as part of the interview.

Thank you for your reply. Yes I know about the K2s but my question is more about the interview and processing fee. Since she is American, she should not have to be present at the interview, nor should I have to pay a processing fee for her. But she is listed under the fees section anyway. I'm thinking this is a mistake. I could be jumping the gun here and I may not get charged for her but I found it unusual that she was on the fees page.

In the K-1 process you don't pay any fees to NVC, anyway.

He means fee for the interview.

They don't know that she is a us citizen you listed her as you do any kid and then if people want the kid to have a K-2 visa then they pay the fee and all that for the child also you just only pay for the k-1

You just don't select the child. Don't apply for a visa that a USC child does not need, and do not pay a visa processing fee for a child that is not applying for a visa. Only the K-1 needs to fill out a DS-160, pay the fee and attend the K-1 visa interview.
