It clearly states that NCLEX-RN is a state board exam taken to be licensed here in US. It is a National exam not an international exam.

Maybe you are just saying its an international exam because the exam is given in other countries testing site of pearsonvue like in Hongkong and Philippines. US educated nurses are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN after graduation. But If you are foreign educated nurse, the Board of Nursing in the state where you are applying your licensure will determine your eligibility by evaluating your credentials (CES) Credential Evaluation Service done by CGFNS.

Your close with your explantion

US Educated nurse only need a Associate Degree or BSN or Diploma and they still have to apply to their State BON and still get a an ATT from Pearson Vue to sit for NCLEX.

International Nurses have to apply to a state. Some require CES, and CGFNS is not the only company that does these. A few states requires CGNFS Test, some states like California do CES in house.

A handful of states require a Local License, but most don't before you can sit for NCLEX.

Anymore questions?

Let me correct you some:

Age 18 - 21 needs Parental Consent, 22 to 24 needs Parental Advisement - If I remember correctly.

Being a Lawyer or Doctor and coming to USA doesn't do you much good in USA. You basically go back to sqaure 1 with those degrees in USA.

Accreditation Office - Are you trying say to get her College Transcripts Evaluated to see if her degree in PI is comparable to same degree in USA, if so That was taken care of when she was still in PI, I had it evaluted by CGNFS before she ever stepped foot on US Soil.

I agree there is nothing wrong with working Wal Mart or Grocery Store, But for me and my personal goals it doesn't fall into what I am looking for in a lifetime partner......

tallcoolone: Yeah, true. I was missing that term "parental advice"... it was in the back of my mind. However to prove parental advice, it has to be written and signed by both parents. *shrugs* Legalities....

Oh i didnt know your wife is an RN. NCLEX and CGNFS does fix that. Good for her she doesnt have to go thru all of that. Not that i mind going back to school... its fun... i could always go for certifications... which is faster.

Had work or working in a grocery store shouldnt be basis in choosing a life partner. Such jobs teaches humility.

I have to say... not with prejudice. Your wife is smarter than you. Are you aware that if she hadnt married you to go to US, she'd still be in the philippines earning 2 years experience before she could practice in foreign soil?

One more thing, I read your so called wifes signature, she say she took the NCLEX and passed, what do you think the NCLEX is, its a BOARD

NCLEX is not a board. NCLEX is a international exam.---- NOT A BOARD EXAM?!!!:rofl::wacko: ncLEX FOR I KNOW IS A LICENSURE OR WHAT WE CALL IN THE PHILIPPINES BOARD EXAM WHICH CAN BE TAKEN INTERNATIONALLY, BUT SAYING ITS NOT A BOARD...?YEA, ITS NOT PLYWOOD FOR SURE!:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Many many years ago each state gave individual Board exams for RN's.

Maybe your mommy took a state board, but I promise you your girlfriend didn't take a board, unless she very very old..........-LOOK WHO'S TALKING! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Are you aware that if she hadnt married you to go to US, she'd still be in the philippines earning 2 years experience before she could practice in foreign soil?

Let me Correct You, It may help you in your future career:

Two common myths that float around in PI regarding being a PI trained nurse and working in USA.

1.) You don't need to take NLE (Local Licensing Exam in PI), before you can sit for NCLEX. Only like 4 states out of 50 states in USA require a NLE before NCLEX can be taken.

2.) You don't need any work experience before you can work as a nurse in USA.

These are 2 very common myths that float around in PI. If you ever have question about getting licenses in USA, You can read each states website rearding Nursing, and plus you can always call them.
