I've seen age gaps as much as 40 years. The only advice I received many years ago is that it is best to marry a Filipina that is close to 30 or older - I got that from a Filipino Pastor and friend of the family before I even began to consider marrying a Filipina. Generally you don't see huge age differences between Filipinos who live in the Philippines - I am assuming that would probably also be true between a Fil-Am and a petitioned Filipina.

Your friend/pastor advice seem to be "Stupid Advice"

aahh...when will you ever learn to respect other people's opinion.......

It wasn't an opinion, it was advice.

I find the advice to be wrong, there isn't some magical age in which to marry a Filipinia.

All people are different, and to try to profile a certain race or gender is wrong in my books.

Hmmm Ill join the poll. :)

My husband (USC) is 26 and I am 28. The difference is 1 year and 6 months.

I say choosing to marry someone of this or that age is a personal choice and definitely not other people's business. Whatever their reason is, its theirs and theirs alone. :)

By "Americans", are you referring to Filipino-Americans?

aahh...when will you ever learn to respect other people's opinion.......

A good friend of mine who has been married to Pinay for a few years gave me this advice for marrying a girl from Philippines:

Don't get one with a kid

Don't marry one over 25 years old

I have read a lot of your posts, and I think you have some kind of male superiority/american superiority complex. I really start to wonder if you even like women. You say profiling is wrong, you sir are a hypocrite. Read your posts from before you profile Filipinas about everything. I can not understand how your wife would stay with you, or then again maybe she doesn't have a choice. Why would you marry a Pinay if you felt that way about the people and their culture? Maybe you need that assurance that she would never leave you because she came from a poor place? :ot2:

Maybe you need that assurance that she would never leave you because she came from a poor place? :ot2:

My wife didn't come from a "poor" place.

Her family is very well educated, Her house in PI is bigger than most houses in USA, it is 3 stories with like 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

Her immediate family is Lawyers, Doctors, CPA's, they own numerous real estate in Davao area and get a healthy rental income from these.

I don't consider her place poor, Heck I would trade my house for her family house in PI in heartbeat.

They have 3 helpers that live there and take care of all the househould chores..............
