Hi!

I was wondering if anyone out there had experience preparing their information for their p3 and p4 before even receiving it from Montreal? We want to be prepared as possible. I read somewhere that I can get the things for my p3 ready and send it out before I've officially received it. Is that true?

If anyone has any experience relating to this at all, I would really appreciate the help.

Hello Karice!

I'm in the same situation, and I've heard that we just have to call somewhere to get the number of the case and, then send the informations asked in P3 without waiting for the actual letter (which can arrive really late sometimes...)

The only information I'm missing is where to call to get that case number.

Good luck in your procedure :)

I don't think you can actually send the stuff before it's requested. Just gather it up, be patient and send it when they ask. :)

They are super quick at getting back to you. I just went through it last month with the Montreal Consulate. Once I sent my P3 info, I got the P4 by email like two days later. And I got the P3 like a couple weeks after they received my info from the Visa center in the US.

I've heard mixed things, but I've had people I know send the stuff before its requested and it turns out fine. Also, I've heard that if you're too early, they don't respond or tell you to submit at a later date.

I've heard a lot of horror stories about how long Montreal takes to send you stuff.

For me personally, I emailed my p3 checklist to montreal before actually receiving the physical p3 mail. It took 2 weeks for the mail to come. By the time that came, I already received my p4 and booked the interview.

As long as they have your information at the consulate, you should be able to send in the p3 checklist. I received my p4 email couple of days after I emailed my p3.

Your choice of course =)

As long as your case has been confirmed received by the consulate and you can verify that by your case number AND you've already gathered all the necessary documents, you can send in Packet 3. Packet 4 will come very shortly afterwards by e-mail.
