Got my passport with the visa exactly 1 week from the date of my interview. I really doubt you'd get your passport in 2 days.

Curious from where you'd be flying from. We are still about to buy my ticket and cheapest is around $1100.

Call the airline, tell them you understand the travel documents aren't going to be ready in time, and can they help you rebook and minimize extra costs because of this unforseen (by you, not by us....sigh) delay. Maybe they can help you out.

You're statement was the one I used because I remember seeing you're statement, that's what made me say that I might get the visa in two days.

And God is in control because they said I would not get an expedit and I got it, so let God do this.

This process drived me mad but is coming to a end thank God. ???

God wants us to follow laws and regulations. .the embassy clearly states not to make traveling arrangements until visa is in hand...if it happens as u have timed, praise God but if doesn't, u have yourself to blame

Yes there are guidelines to follow but sometimes u have to go get what u want...and altho i was not sure we were gonna get bk ours in time my husband booked the ticket and decided if push comes to shove we wud jus change it but we prayed and god deliver. Jus remember to ask. Good Luck.

To everyone, my friend had her interview and had her visa issued the 8th of September and got it on the 9th in her hand and was here in the"US" by the 11th so everyone's case is different and no one can predict the outcome. And I bought her ticket before I she got the visa in hand.

But everyone has there opinion that's why we have this fourum so thanks for all your input in the end the cases is not in our hands but in the hands of NVC,CO's and USCIS.

This is if you are approved AND if the name check isn't a delay. I purchased mine three weeks out after I was approved thinking my case would be as quick as others in DR. Two other K! were with me one got hers Next day the other got it the following week.

That maybe and that's a big MAYBE you can have them give it to you next day. :clock:

If you don't mind loosing the cash hey :sleepy: that's on you.

I agree that it is not just the issuance of the visa but any other factors like a denial or AP.

Regardless I hope it works out for you.

Was it during the Christmas holiday? Just because one person received their very quickly does not guarantee you will. There is no guarantee for approval either. In fact, its quite a big chance you are taking...but who knows. Keep us updated. Good Luck. I hope it works out for you!

What is up with this community??? How many people does it take to make OP feel bad? Once somebody has said no, having 500 other people say no doesn't quite help. If the answer is no, and tons of other people have already said no, then how about you give advice instead of just saying things like 'no, you should have known better, you wasted money, etc, etc, etc'.

It's also frustrating given that there are at least 3 people who posted on here (including me) who got ours within 2 days so no it is not impossible. No the document is not THAT SENSITIVE that it takes DAYS to produce. Yes I agree it is unlikely, however what I say does not impact the case, it only impacts the mental health of OP. So I share my story of getting it in 2 days and wish OP good luck. SMH some people on here are just excited to make somebody miserable

  • A few weeks later I received a notice dated Nov 10th, in regards to my call about the Oct 13th notice. The new notice said that there were no RFE's or withholding on my case. So still not sure what this Oct 13th notice was about.

  • Received a letter from a NY office on Dec 23rd (dated Dec 10) stating that my medical was over 1 year old. (At this point my medical was only 7 months old)

  • Teir two submitted an internal service request to which I got a response telling me that I need to respond to RFE ASAP

  • Submitted another service request on 1/6/17. To which I got a response on 1/19/17 stating that my case was pending and is outside of processing time (no mention of RFE)

You are so right they are all so quick to say "no" when they don't know themselves. All of us are going through this process together so we should help and encourage each other not make them feel bad. Not everyone go by rules and no one can predict anyone's success.

This process drived me mad but is coming to a end thank God. ???
