I do have my tax transcripts but don't know how to find out what exact amount my tax guy filled in line 22 of my tax papers. Because I got W2 and 1099 for previous year and the tax transcript for that year tells separate amount, not combined. I know I can add both and fill in I-864 but I don't want to take any risk because a minor discrepancy in the amount can lead to some issues. What's your say on this?

Thanks,

Gagan

Hey Gagan,

I'm with you on this... best to get the exact amount that was submitted and put that same number on the form. But you should still be able to access yiur tax transcripts easily and quickly online thru irs.gov

Have you managed to get them yet ?

Hi gagan, did you fill out the DS 260 or did your parents fill it out? do they really need all the collages attended by my parents? My parents studied in different states of India . Since they are not living in India they are planning to get the PCC from the embassy. Hope that works.

i am still waiting for the NVC letter for my dad and IV invoice for my mom. Hope you have sorted out everything...

Hey Cassie,

Yup you really need ALL colleges and their addresses! And also where your parents lived since they were 16.

I gave my parents the heads up on these questions about a month or 2 ago so they can have time to piece their entire lives together for this DS-260... LOL... I think I inputted something like 10-15 addresses! It's also hilarious that I need to get my dad's military records from the 1960's ...sheesh.. Thank Goodness for the National Archives of Australia ....!!

But hey, I suppose it's all important.

Thank you so much. My parents are Indian origin but they are South African citizens now . So, for the PCC  when I look from the NVC website , reciprocity Indian PCC - under foreign nationals who are not staying in India and applying from outside the Indian PCC is unavailable. So does that mean that I don't have to worry about the Indian PCC? It's such a pain to get it from the embassy. They only issue PCC for Indian passport holders...

any advice from anyone ???

thank you in advance

I was reading your timeline. Did your parents got an interview yet ? Mine I submitted both together. For mom the IV fee is paid. But dads hasn't reached NVC yet.Got the approval notice on the 1st of August. Called NVC. But they say it can take up to 6 weeks🙄 Online status shows "case was approved".

Anything to do other than waiting?

Hey Dassie

Nope not yet :) I just completed and submitted the DS-260 but haven't yet uploaded the civil and financial documents to NVC  (coz we have to do it in one go, and right now still waiting on my Mom's Police Certificate from Singapore and my Dads military records , which can take up to 30 days).

Once I can get it all uploaded, then NVC will review and schedule for interview :)

Hi Deidre,

Yes, I did receive the tax papers from my tax guy on Monday last week. So I wrapped up my I-864EZ for both parents and put together other documents in separate envelopes and sent to NVC on Wednesday of same week. It's been over a week now and NVC says it takes upto 11 weeks for them to review. So I'm just gonna wait for their response now. Keeping my fingers crossed. All the best to you for your cases.

Hi Gagan!

Awesome news ! I will also be submitted the i-864ez form too for my parents. I'm able to submit all documents to NVC online but can only do it all in one go, along with civil and financial documents. Just waiting on a few civil documents from my parents, and soon we'll be on our way!

And yes all the best to you as Well! Closely following your updates too :)

I was wondering if anything i missed.

(IR5-petitioning my mom) and i believe we're the same, so currently my mom is living in Dubai for almost 2 years. She'll have all the process in Dubai and not going back in the Philippines for medical and innterview.

so this are the req that im preparing.

cover letter

i-864 form

i-864A form

Pay Stub or Bank statement

w2s and Irs

passport of me(i-864) and the husband (i-864A) proof of citizenship

BC of me and mom (proof of relation and her proof of citizenship)

MC of me and mom

police clearance (dubai and phil)

pictures

DO I NEED TO SEND 2 PASSPORT SIZE PHOTOGRAPHS?

thats all i can think of :(

ANYTHING I MISSED?

Hello nate and riyn ...my mom is also in Dubai...is it possible for her to get interview and have medical in Dubai instead of going back to Phil.

i put our address in Phil when i filed the form I-130. ...does it affect the application... i just received my NOA 2 - case was approved, now im waiting for NVC mail for the case number in order to proceed. What would i do to make the medical and interview possible in Dubai...

thank you.

im not sure how yours is going to work since your i130's address of your mom is in Phil, during i started my application in I130, i put her Dubai's address so she dont need to go back to Philippines for medical and interview, and also my mom is going to attached her working visa and dubais police clearance as one of her proofs that she stayed there for almost 2 years now. I suggest to call NVC if its not yet to late to change your mom's address so she dont need to go back to philippines for interview and medical.
