Our case was transferred from Nebraska to Texas Service Center last week. We did not request the transfer, but the Notice states it is to 'speed up processing'. I was told that when an office is backed up, they transfer the cases to another office. Our NOA1 is 10-04-16

Hi RRR2016,  My parent's NOA1 is 10-13-16 so are cases are fairly similar.  I am curious to see what happens to my petitions in Nebraska. If they are that backed up then most likely my parent's petitions may also get transferred...would much rather prefer receiving NOA2 rather than a transfer notice.

Yes. They can transfer your application but requesting to transfer is not possible.

They can scan it and send it to you via e-mail. Photocopy is okey but they need to bring the originals during their interview.

So as the petitioner what originals should the applicant have, the website says civil and status proof... am I suppose to send everything that I sent with the i130 pretty much?

how old can the translations be? I wanted to use birth certificate translations that I had from i130 forms but they are close to 1 year old, so not sure if I can use them or not, what do you guys think?

I just used the same that I had 7 yrs ago when I used for my K1 works for me. I will tell my Mom to get a new one on her interview date.

Was the rejection coz of the payment that you're supposed to make? Thanks for sharing your timeline.

K_for_kat - i made payment 01/31 and then the next day it showed on the website that both are paid... so i assumed it was paid but then i checked the status then i saw that my father was rejected so i double checked in my bank fist make sure they didn't took the money, found out they only took one $325 for my mother IV.  So i go ahead paid for my father.  So it must be an error.  Thats why its good to keep checking the status online.  Have a great day.

I was told they r back logged and call back if I didnt hear anything by the end of April. That makes over 7 months. Patiently waiting ?

Good luck to all who is waiting.
