I and my husband are Turkish citizens living in Colorado since March 2015 with our 3 year old daughter. My husband is on L1 and I am on L2 visa. Our daughter is a US citizen. I am about to deliver our second child who will also be a US citizen.

At the moment we are unable to see my husbands companys sponsorship for Green Card. Therefore we are looking for other ways to get permanent residency and work authorization in US. Please note that we also consider asylum as an option due to current unrest in Turkey.

We would like to learn if there is a way that we can get permanant residency and work authorization other that company sponsorship for green card

Thanks

Of course there is an option! Once your kids are 21 years old, they can sponsor you.

I don't see any other option.

Even the asylum is a long shot.

The current unrest in Turkey is not dire enough that you can derive asylum status out of it.

Maybe your husband can look into another job that could provide green card sponsorship.

I advise you talk to an immigration lawyer to see if there may be other options.

Roel, thanks for your reply. I know that, but we do not want to wait until they are 21. We want to keep stay & work here.

Your children can file for you when they turn 21.

That's your most viable option. Unless you get selected in DV lottery than you can file and adjustment but the deadline just passed.

Is there any Catholic charities? You don't have to be Catholic. My friend got help with their immigration lawyers to get her Green card (she is married to an US citizen).

Here the website she sent me: http://www.ccasfnm.org/immigration-legal-services.html

OP is here on a temporary work visa, not an immigrant visa, their Employer does not seemingly wish to sponsor them for an immigrant visa.

So they have the options available to pretty much everybody else who is outside the US and would like to immigrate. They do have a long term option not available to many.

You may be able to self-sponsor your Greencard application under EB1A or EB2. This would require consult with a lawyer to see if you qualify.

Or you could look for an H1B sponsoring job. Good luck.

E2-Investor Visa. If you have the money (100-200k) and the right law office, you have a 90% chance.

Those guys are a one stop shop. They have a broker company for qualifying businesses plus the law office.

According to them, they have approval rates above 90% if their advise is followed.
