Well, Well, Well Dave, you certainly create an amazingly streamlined and successful view of the process.....the kind I like! Makes me wonder about those businesses that charge 2K US for "help"! They must be in cahoots with those that spew the continuous drivel of uninformed, unconfirmed "heresay" on all those expat sites and elsewhere!!

Sure do appreciate you once again providing concise, precise responses. Now I will definitely feel more confident and informed when I petition at the end of the month.

Dave I slaved over that damn Affidavit and all it's supporting docs! I want to give it to someone sometime somewhere!

When??! I must need it sometime as you inquired about my financial solvency; which as a retired teacher I barely

qualify for. However I have heard some different quotes; what is the current cut off amount?

And we definitely have all the documents sans one: NSO wedding doc which we'll have shortly. Which by the way brings me to my final observation/question (for now): since you were married one day after us, didn't you need to present

your own NSO marriage certificate along with the petition??

All the best next week to you and Sana, JanWillem

Hee hee....the pleasure is all mine, JanWillem! Your graciousness is most appreciated.

We did not need an NSO marriage certificate because:

1) We were married in Honolulu.

2) Neither of us is Filipino.

But we got CENOMARs for each of us, JUST TO BE COVERED, in spite of the above. Once less thing to worry about, we figured.

BTW - the USCIS Officer said "Good that you got the CENOMARs, and kept them."

Regarding the AOS...I feel ya, Brother. You are aware of the official cutoff, based on the Federal Poverty Guideline, I suspect - 125% of the Federal Poverty Guideline for all tax-related dependents in the household.

Thing is....many applicants say that they DID NOT EVEN ASK TO SEE THE Affidavits of Support in Manila recently at the interview!!!

hee hee....I guess sometimes...it is not how fast you mow, huh!!!!

So, let's stay in touch. We are riding the same wave.

And thanks for the well wishes to me and the Missus. 'Preciate it.

Best to you and yours,

Dave

Hello everyone,

First let me say that I have been reading here on and off now for two days and totally am majorly impressed with the

communal spirit and the clarity of answers! I am already feeling less stress as I begin the process of obtaining a CR-1 spousal visa for my Filipina wife to come to America. If any of the following concerns are already addressed in

this discussion I apologize for missing them.

Concern 1.

Does the six month requirement mean consecutive months? I have been living in the Philippines for three years however I have taken numerous trips, thus never attaining a full six months consecutively. I do have tourist ACR card and

have three years of notarized year-long leases.

Concern 2.

I noticed a number of people mentioning an "INFORPASS" when entering at the Manila US Embassy. What is

that? Where do you get it or how do you get? Do I need an appointment to show up with my docs and I-30?

Concern 3.

A. Can I also submit the I-864 and all supporting docs at my first meeting? B. What other completed forms should I

submit at this time?

Concern 4. What method of payment is accepted for filing?

thank you one and all, JanWillem

Hello there....Do you plan trying to file directly to thru the Embassy? I have been living with my spouse abroad for 3 years and we just decided to file this year. But they told me the only way to file directly thru the Embassy is being approved as an exceptional case. So I actually traveled home to file and now I am back with him, awaiting this long process.
