Hi,   Just to inform you that today, I got an email from USCIS case status account, saying my I-130 has been approved and that they are sending the paper letter soon. PD October 19th.

Same here. My pd was August 29, 2018 and upgraded my case to spouse of US citizen in April 24, 2019. No response yet. I called and they told me the expected approval date is 107 days from today, which I realized after the call it is exactly 5 months from April 24, 2019!!

 

Now I wish I didn’t submit the application until got naturalized. At least it won’t go to the always late California service center. 

 

I advise anyone that expect to get citizenship within a year to hold on the application until after naturalized to avoid getting stuck with California service center.

5 months have been the standard for upgraded petitions for a long time. 

 

How waiting to get your citizenship was gonna help you at all? Unless you're counting at your petition landing in Potomac, both Texas and Nebraska run at 10 months and 12 months average approval times, respectively. Considering that, the "always late California service center" trails the fastest Potomac quite closely.

So 5 months appears to me quite reasonable. If you're a reasonable person.

I think the application would go to Potomac SC based on where I live.

Try to research the CR1 threads. Where you live have no impact, they will send your petition wherever they want. There's a popular theory actually that they send petitions further away of where petitioners live to discourage people of showing up at their service center's address. 

Fact is, few petitions end up in the service center closest to their address.

I called USCIS. If you want a faster response, you should call, but you have to be patient. I waited 45 minutes to get hold of someone who could not help me and waited another 6 hours for an immigration officer to call me back. I gave him my email over the phone and received an update in email a few days later.

I- 130 .... sent USCIS August 4, 2010 - Approved at NVC Jan 2011 received approval letter with case number and Id number

Selected agent...Feb 25, 2016

Paid AOS and Visa Application fees.......Feb 26, 2016 

Submitted supporting doc......Mar 20, 2016 ( would have done sooner but had to wait on petitioners tax docs)

Case completed.....April 22, 2016 Received case complete letter April 27,2016

Received Interview Letter... Feb 3, 2017

Medical..... Feb 27,2017

Interview...Mar 20, 2017

Visa Issued....Mar 21, 2017

I did mine a month ago and I haven't heard anything yet. I called them and they said wait until the end of this month. Im confused. I will call them again in the morning.
