Hello Everyone,

I130, F2A Permanent resident filing for my spouse

Center: California Service Center

Priority Date : 12/20/2016

I130 not approved yet!!! I submitted the online e-request couple times and received the same reply below:

Thank you for your inquiry. We recognize your interest in the final adjudication of your pending application/petition and are aware of the difficulties caused by any delay in processing. We regret we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will review your case but the California Service Center is committed to processing this workload. We will be making every effort to adjudicate your case in the most efficient manner based on our available resources. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Please advise...

I received the below information after the last e-request i sent online:

The status of this service request is:

On 03/09/2019, you or your representative contacted U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) about your I-130 because you believe your case is outside normal processing times.

Your case is currently delayed because the required security checks are still pending. We cannot make a decision on your case until we receive the results of these security checks.

We hope this information is helpful to you

So does it mean that they started working on my case?

My PD is 03-03-2017 and in the latest visa bulletin for april 2019 F2A is March 1st 2017 so my PD will be current this May but my petition is not approved yet. Do they usually approve it close to the time when PD comes current or will I have to wait even after my PD is current just because USCIS didn't approve my petition yet ?

Have you tried calling USCIS? Most March 2017 filers will have approval by now.

No I did not because for some reason they pushed back the receipt date for a case inquiry for my category for CSS which is now February 02, 2017 and I can't make an inquiry too.

You can still call them, you don't need to make an official inquiry. People call all the time, they may or may not have information for you but you'll never know unless you ask. Up to you.

They want the recent tax transcript so you are good with 2018, but it is good to send them the 2017 as well.

Yeah if your income is above the poverty line which is 125% then you are good to file I-864.

For any reason if your income doesn't meet the requirement you can get another household to file I-864A for you.
