Many Thanks

We received RFE in January and we submitted in April and I-130 (F2A) Approved on 4/30/2020. Now waiting for NVC response, don't know how much time they will take to send us email.what priority date is Current right now?

Lucky you that was quick..

For me it took 2 month to be accepted by NVC.

Still waiting from January to get an interview letter.

How long it will take? Anyone have idea?

Nobody has any idea. Not even NVC has any idea because they are moving at a snail's pace currently because of "stay at home" orders. Perhaps, now that many states are opening again (or I should say, forcing/pushing people back into the work place), perhaps their turn around time may increase.

I've seen the NVC go from an average turn around time of 53 days in December to 63-67 (during Jan 2020 - Feb 2020), and during the Pandemic 67-88 days. However, as of May 18, it is now approximately 94 days turn-around time frame (from submission of all docs to receipt of appointment letter).

Perhaps, the turn-around time frame may go down slowly as NVC offices begin to welcome back their works to the office. Please keep mind that even if NVC completes your case, they cannot issue a definitive appointment date (if any) because of President Trump's immigration ban (if it applies to you).

You are indeed quite correct that Nebraska service center (NSC) is now slower than California (CSC) service center. So this is a net positive for you...be very happy they have done that. CSC is processing cases at least 3.6 months ahead of NSC. Based on your PD, I would say your case is close to be adjudicated...perhaps between November and December time frame.

Ps. What is that mobile app you're using to monitor your USCIS case status? I've never heard of such an app.

Hi! which app is this? It tells you the status of your case? I check it on the CEAC page, didn't know there was an app!

Welcome letter received. For the benefit of those just joining the thread, my timeline is :

pd- jan 16, 2018

Approved- aug 12, 2019

Nvc received- oct 30, 2019

Welcome letter- nov 22, 2019.

Hey @FPope which one is the welcome letter? is it the one that has the 6 steps? (paying the fees, sending the documents, etc.) I always thought THAT was the welcome letter.
The last thing I received from the NVC was my case # and my invoice ID to log on to the CEAC website.

There is no app. I suppose when I (and others) refer to the term app relative to US Immigration, we should be prefacing it with "web", as in web app. To my knowledge, none of the US immigration offices has published a mobile app that does what their web apps (or web services) provides. Hope this is clearer.

Indeed, if @FPope received a letter immediately preceding the NVC receipt, then yes that's the welcome letter (as you rightly pointed out, it provides your invoice ID, case #,  etc.). The next letter after that would be your appointment letter. Which provides your appointment date, vaccination requirements, and other info related to preparing for your embassy appointment/interview).

Oh OK, thanks. I thought the screenshot that you uploaded was a phone app for some reason. Once I did hear there was actually one, but never downloaded it.

If they did, as stated on their website for 2020, then I truly lack understanding of the current processing times that are seen on their web site. For F2A I-130 California has gone down to earliest from 12 month to 8.5 months (very good for me if true and I do not get transferred) whereas Nebraska has gone way-up to earliest 20.5 months, likewise Potomac earliest 26.5 months, Vermont earliest 15 months (not so good but not so bad), only Texas shows real short time at earliest 5 months. If that is spreading work load then I am dumfounded, only left to believe that the info shown is rather unreliable (understatement)

I felt lucky too knowing that our case is at CSC. However, there's been a 360 degree shift and CSC is now behind (14.5-19 mos from 12-16 mos.) Nebraska and Texas (as early as 1 week!!!.) I wonder how accurate their website is in showing the processing times. I'd like to think that they were making an update but I checked it about 1 to 2 weeks ago and CSC has been at 14.5-19 mos. wait and still no change as of today.

Update!

The I-130 application of my dad for my stepmom submitted in February 2020 was just approved 12/12/2020!!! We filed it online and the receipt notice indicated CSC at the bottom so we were following the timeline for CSC which should've been 15-20 mos. wait time. However, when we received the approval, the notice indicates Nebraska Service center at the bottom, and we did not receive any notifications that there had been a change in service center. Just want to share this with you guys, might happen to you as well so stay positive!

Is there any recent approves from California for anyone?

I received a RFE in November 2020, petitioned in May 2017. So, I presume they would have or approving petition from or after that date by now.

oh wow according to California Proceccing time they are reviewing December 2015 cases in your category, so that looks promissing even though I'm waiting for another type of visa. Hopefully they are moving to 2020 cases already
