Expedited EAD/AP without evidence

My spouse is military and is deploying in February. She won't be in her new unit (and will get orders then) until January. Over Christmas, we want to see ALL of our family including my Canadian side.

Anyone know the best way to get EAD/AP expedited, if you don't yet have orders on paper? How easy is this to do? Seems like a lot of people are expediting.

I see you have already filed. You will probably get it in time for Christmas though if you don't get an RFE.

I doubt you can get it expedited unless you have specific proof of a valid reason to do so..

I needed mine expedited because I had my wedding abroad planned, but was told by lots of people I wasn't going to get it anyways, even based on financial loss.

It came in the mail a week early, however, so all was well. Good luck with yours, who knows, maybe someone has better news for you, I'm unsure of any extra ways around the system for military families.

I doubt you will get an expedite based on wanting to see the family. The deployment thing won't help here.

Without evidence what will make your situation different than the millions of others that want their travel docs for the holidays?

Not trying to be rude but I always say you have to look at it from immigration point of view. There are people who need to travel for an emergency for legitimate reasons like a death in the family or such.

Thanks! I think so too. I'm going to call the Military specific USCIS helpline to see what they can do for me. Thankfully, the whole "deployment thing" is seen a quite "legitimate" in this country. :)

Wanting to visit family for the holidays is not a reason for expedite, even with evidence, it must be an extreme emergent situation in order to be expedited. His military status has no bearing in this case.

Just because you don't like the factual answers when given won't yield an expedite.
