original as they need wet signature

to make all this easier on anyone thinking to apply after this, take the application and needed forms with you to meet and fill them out / saves a lot in postage

I've heard mixed opinions on the whole "wet" signature thing. My fiance was stateside when we setup our I-129F package so of course we were able to sign "wet" signatures. For what it's worth, we just got our NOA2 (approval) a few days ago so I'd advise a "wet" signature on all forms if you can manage it. Not worth an RFE.

My partner signed and scanned the documents to me. My forms(the petitioner) were all original wet signatures.

Same as for the I-134 form for his interview, I signed and mailed that to him so it would be original.

But, do what you feel most comfortable with. Good luck!

As of 2013, when the instructions were updated, original signatures are not needed.

You can scan them.

There is no proof that any RFE's have been issued for wet signature since 2013 because of the instruction change.

If you read the instructions, it will tell you that copies are accepted.

Why? The consensus is that since 2013, scanned copies for those two documents is fine.

i know but, many answers were both fine. so it's either wet signature or scan copies is good. right?

As an added piece of valuable advice, I did the following. I visited my fiancé in her own country a month before we filed our I-129F petition. We did the following.

Dyn (foreign fiancé) signed FIVE copies each of the G-325A, Letter of Intent to Marry, Statement of How We Originally Met and Statement of Meeting within Two Years. Yes, it was overkill, but better safe than sorry. I ended up spilling a Monster Energy Drink on two original sets. Thank God I had extras.

I also had Dyn sign fifteen blank pieces of paper (blue ink) with the signature line formatted near the bottom in case additional signed documents were needed. These made great templates that could be fed into any printer. This proved to be very resourceful as several of the letters of intent had to be revised because of spelling errors in the name. Its a bit more work, but what a lifesaver. Dyn spent about twenty mins on our last night together signing one page after the other. The peace of mind it brought was worth it

SIDE NOTE: All of the signed documents were sealed in a large yellow envelope. My objective, as Dyn earlier explained, was to protect that envelope with my life. I had a layover in Bahrain and left the envelope on the plane when departing. I didn't realize my mistake until I had fully exited the plane, passed through security and entered my departing terminal. By the grace of God, I was able to retrieve the packet, but it took some serious negotiating. To make matters worse, after I retrieved the envelope with all of the signed documents, I left it sitting on a counter in a duty-free shop. By the time I realized what I had done, security had collected the envelope and had it sent to another part of the airport for analysis. It took another hour to track down security, provide ID and sit through an interview of sorts before they would return my envelope to me. What a nightmare. I later told Dyn what I had done. I thought for sure she would be upset. Her response...I knew that would happen.
