My husband had his citizenship interview this afternoon and he passed.  The center was busy and they were running a little behind so we had to wait about an hour past his scheduled time.  Fortunately a woman from the office made several announcements so we all knew that we would be interviewed soon. They called him in about a minute after her last announcement.  Most people were taking about 30 minutes but he was out with his aporoval in what seemed like 10.  I was pleasantly surprised at how quick it was.

He couldn't remember all 6 questions they asked, but he remembered these four: the capital of FL, who signs laws, who the US fought in WW2, and what an amendment is.  They had him write some things and then went through his N400 form and finally told him he passed and that he should go join his spouse in the waiting room.

Since they were running behind, they told him he'd have to wait for his oath letter by mail, so we headed home for a celebratory lunch with my mom.

😎

Congratulations!!!

I had my interview this morning and passed! Oath scheduled for Oct 13th.

It was a really quick process. The officer spent most of her time looking through my travel dates and checking against my passports (I travel a lot due to work), but everything was fine!

Good luck everyone, so glad to be done :)

Nothing yet for us, we filed last November, nearly a year ago. Withdrawing will delay your process I believe, and they do not give refunds.

Years ago when there were delays Visa Journey folks got together and sent the filing offices candy and thank you notes (in a single package, too many would slow them down more)  in a positive show of solidarity to get it to speed along, and we (possibly coincidentally) started moving along. It was coupled with a news story of the delays and the cards with candy. Maybe we should do the same thing to show appreciation? Then maybe they will see our distress and move it a long?

We want to be a positive as possible because they are trying to help us. It's an arduous job to go through all of the files carefully as they do. Patience and grace will serve us well.

Congrats!   Were you asked to show any additional documentation (beyond a passport) for flights taken since you submitted your application?  For example: airline receipts.  I'm a little concerned that I fly often using my Nexus card (equivalent of Global Entry) and they no longer stamp my passport.    Thanks!
