Dallas filers, no updates.. ?  My heart is sinking, watching the chart getting red and we all are just waiting. Few friends from Sept 2016 thread are also waiting...  They have already passed 1 year on their app.  prayers are needed now.

Hi... no updates on my end... I have been sitting "in line for interview" since January 2017. I then moved from New Jersey to Texas and when I changed my address it changed to "in line for interview" since April 24th... no updates since then. So I'm sitting here on an expired GC 😭

@vegasbound how do I get added to the timeline? :)

Congratulations @canuck32!!

I had my Oath Ceremony today at the Eastern District Court in Brooklyn and I can now officially say that I'm a US Citizen! :jest: It was a LONG 4 hours in there, but it was totally worth it given the fact that I've had to deal with USCIS for the past 7 years! :P

Good luck to all those still waiting, your time is near and congrats to all the new citizens.

Would you mind updating me for the final time @vegasbound? Thank you so much for all of your help keeping my portion of the timeline correct :)

It's not about field office- i think it depends on your country of birth. I am also from Pakistan, and stuck in FP notice since NOV-2016.. I have noticed mostly the males under 40 are stuck in FP notice. My dad got his interview and oath in 4 months but he is 65.... I am waiting since 10 months... Good Luck....

Hello,

Any update on your case?

Mrs Spotty and I just returned from Memphis and we wanted to let you all know that she was approved!  For the most part, the interview went smoothly, she answered the first six questions asked her.  She passed the oral and written exam (good thing since she teaches 7th grade English ;)).

The only bump she ran into was that the officer asked her for a set of passport photos.  Of course, it was the one thing we forgot to do before we left. (Even though, she had absolutely no reason to provide them, at least according to USCIS' own instructions.)  However, the officer allowed her to go to a Walgreens around the corner, get the photos made and return and submit the photos.  He approved the application upon her return. (Which we were thankful for, since I know some on the forum had that delay their approval.) All told, the whole process took less than hour.  If only the 6+hour car ride each way with two kids under 6 was that smooth.

Onto waiting for oath ceremony to be scheduled.

Congrats @spottymax to you and your wife. I'm going to note the need to have the passport pics, its a pity that they give that misleading information. Hopefully your oath ceremony is scheduled soon

My husband had his citizenship interview this afternoon and he passed.  The center was busy and they were running a little behind so we had to wait about an hour past his scheduled time.  Fortunately a woman from the office made several announcements so we all knew that we would be interviewed soon. They called him in about a minute after her last announcement.  Most people were taking about 30 minutes but he was out with his aporoval in what seemed like 10.  I was pleasantly surprised at how quick it was.

He couldn't remember all 6 questions they asked, but he remembered these four: the capital of FL, who signs laws, who the US fought in WW2, and what an amendment is.  They had him write some things and then went through his N400 form and finally told him he passed and that he should go join his spouse in the waiting room.

Since they were running behind, they told him he'd have to wait for his oath letter by mail, so we headed home for a celebratory lunch with my mom.
