Congratulations and all the best. Receiving that interview letter itself gives immense happiness. :)

However NYC field office is acting strange in setting interview dates. I saw someone whose interview date is 2 months from the in-line date and your interview date is 5 months and 8 days from the in-line interview date.

No, I'm not calling them. I figure that if people from  the months before me are still waiting Memphis is a slow office. They do cover a very big area too. All of Tennessee, 41  counties in Arkansas, and 36 counties  in Mississippi.

I've been in line from January. As @cdneh stated, Memphis is just slow. I won't start to get anxious until the Memphis Oct Filers have gotten their interview date as my N400 priority date is 11/8. I know they are planning to open a new Nashville Field office this Summer so maybe some of their manpower is dedicated to getting that site up and running. Its just a waiting game but a lot of FOs are moving slow.

I also was looking for some information about the new Nashville field office and found this job posting. (who wants to run the place?)  From the job summary... " PLEASE NOTE: The Nashville Field Office is a new office within the New Orleans District. The Entrance on Duty (EOD) date and/or initial duty station is dependent upon completion of the facility, currently projected as late December 2017."

Ive been in line since January too. I was just wondering anyway. Usually takes 5-6 months there since i started from temporary visa up to now with my citizenship so i guess with that, they are at least consistent 😁

I had my interview today! It was a pretty rough experience. The immigration officer was so snappy and shouting at times for no reason at all. I think it was the person who was in there before me, cause he started to unwind bit by bit as we talked and went through the application together. By the end of the interview/test he accepted my application and told me to come 2 hours later for my oath ceremony. I went out for some fresh air and came back, attended the ceremony and now I'm a US citizen. :)
