@janadark && @N400wait, Guys, i gave my FP 12/5/16. I am also stuck in FP Schedule. I am thinking to give up on this #######. I want to update my spouse case from F2A to CR-1. This N-400 application is taking shitty long!

Maybe we should try call them and try to get to second tier officer? There was somebody here who called and the next day their case moved forward to inline.

Last time ( 3 weeks ago)  i called and fortunately, i was able to speak to L2 officer. He told me to call back if i don't hear from USCIS after 90 days, from my bio metrics date.  I called back Friday, and the L1 officer was not letting my call go through to L2. She also told me that there is no provision of calling back after 90 days since bio-metrics and i was given a false information. She just told me to wait and hung up the call on my face. These people lie on your face and they will do their best to discourage you from calling back and trying to get a status update from L2 officer.

I hate this attitude....wish you patience and the best of luck. Hopefully your case will jump straight to "interview scheduled".

Relax, this is not a race.

Hi, guys, please correct me if I am wrong. So I am with Detroit FO, I check the processing times, it says July 26 as of Jan 31. Since I am November and very realistic yet hopeful :), there is no need to expect the "interview scheduled" status earlier than April, May, right? Unless I am super lucky and they pick my very case for consideration earlier...

The processing time frame is about 7 1/2 months for SF field office, which suggests that they are currently processing applications received in July/August 2016. I think November filers still have a few more months to wait.

I believe the normal time frame is around 6 months + but it is understandable. However, some office has processing time as of Jan 31 is June something and my original filers (Feb) already has his interview scheduled. He took about 4 months (From Feb to April) ? How is it possible..

Yes, under normal circumstances, the average processing time would be about 6 months. However, due to the backlog caused by the security flaw that they discovered in ELIS, the processing times for most field offices have been extended significantly.

Not sure what you meant by your original filer but those who filed in Feb 2016 most likely got through before they discovered the security issue - which explains the relatively quick process.

SF field office was processing June 16 applications as of January 31, that's  7 1/2 months.

I originally have applied by Dec/16, but they rejected me 2 times for error. USCIS also told me they 'WOULD' apply my original receipt date but they did not do so, then I had been removed from Dec-filer and became Feb filer, 2 months wasted of time and money.

I meant filer from Feb/17... The processing time of the one who has interview scheduled is around 7 months + also. Why some applicants are faster than other? Is it considered un-normal ?

I also see applicants from October/16 on Trackitt already have their interview scheduled on February. I believe November filers "will" be scheduled the interview sometime in March/16. However, nothing is guaranteed. But let's hope.

The USCIS is one giant federal bureaucracy with a proven record of providing horrible customer service.  They can get away with it because, let's face it, a majority of U.S. taxpayers really don't care as they never have had to deal with them.   All field offices are independent of each other and process applications at a faster or slower speed. (As of the most recent report online, field offices are officially processing applications between April 1, 2016 (St. Paul, MN) and Sept 3, 2016 (Greer, SC).)  I personally think it comes down to the fact that some offices are probably better managed than others.  They may be better staffed, have fewer turnovers in employment, but the truth is we never really get to know.  All I know is that once we are through with this step, my wife and I won't have to deal with the USCIS again.
